Great reworked site

We have been to this site several times in the past This is the first time back in seven years and it doesn’t disappoint. Fantastic new toiletblock with lots of facilities. It appears the site has just been refurbished. One thing, there used to be a row of trees opposite the toilet block which was rather nice but they have been completely eradicated. The caravan next to us has been allowed to face front to the peg with the result that whenever they sit out, they are sitting by our awning.ive checked and every other van is facing to the road.

Beechwood site.

Very nice quiet and very clean site. Wardens friendly. Lovely floral displays and well stocked shop. Near great P & R to York. On a humorous point felt it was difficult to find a convenient path to showers at the same time as giving fellow campers their space ! Lots of roads to choose from .

Great Site

Beechwood Grange stayed here many many times our favorite site. We have been on twice since covid measures were in force and followed the band system for the toilets and showers but some others did not that is out of the cmc controls and cannot police this all the time. The only thing i have to say is there was only 3 to 4 toilets showers washrooms open due to covid but when you went to the toilets in the morning before 8 am the toilet rolls had run out so i think a inspection in the late afternoon or evening would erradicate this as some other sites do now.. The site is still at full capacity but limited numbers of conveninces that are being used and only replenished when the toilets are cleaned in the morning. This would not in any way stop or knock me of going there brill site and doggy area and central for York Scarbourgh, Whitby Bridlington

First visit

First visit To this site and we were immediately impressed by the friendly, helpful greeting we received from the staff. The facilities were spotless and the pitches Where of a very good size. Our little dog loved the dog walking field so much we often had to go looking for him as he had snuck out of our caravan to take himself there. It was a really clever and simple idea – they had mown an outer path, a middle path and a small central path which all linked to each other. Our Teddy loved it – keep it up!! The reception had a well-stocked little shop and the wardens couldn’t do enough to help us. It was only a short drive to monks cross park and drive which took us straight into the centre of York. There is lots to do outside of York, eden camp, flamingo land and there is some beautiful National Trust places to visit very close by. We ventured to Beningbrough Hall and the gardens were absolutely beautiful. TV reception was good but we did find our Wi-Fi a little dodgy from time to time. All in all we will definitely be back to this wonderful location. There were plenty of little foals with their mums in the adjacent stud farm. If you need to get anything delivered please make sure that you add the Beechwood Grange to the address otherwise you may well find that your lovely Amazon driver has delivered to the Beechwood caravan park next door – not to be confused with Beechwood Grange! I’d like to thank the staff for doing such an amazing job And making our stay with them as stressfree and relaxing as possible.

Second Time and still as good as I Remember

This was our second visit to the site, the first one being many years ago and it was still as good as I remembered. the site was immaculate, the warden wonderful, the members friendly and welcoming and the site it'self lovely. There is a stud farm you drive down to enter and exit the site and we were greeted by young foals running about, brilliant. Check in process easy and friendly, found a nice pitch and away we went. For those with families there is a nice play area and huge dog walk area for those with dogs. The only thing is that you do need transport to get around, there are no paths from the site and the roads are busy. York has a good cycle route and so once on that you are ok, but you will need transport to get to anywhere from the site. Will I come again, you bet I will, that is if I can get in, very popular.

Exceptional site

Stayed here in June 2021, clean immaculate facilities. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who work tirelessly to make your holiday a good experience. The site is perfect for visiting York & surrounding area. Special thanks to the hardest working staff we have come across on any c&m site, Andy & Troy Many thanks for a great experience, looking forward to visiting again. Maureen & Graham

Top site

Spent a couple of weeks there in May. Everything was kept very clean. Despite the COVID restrictions the staff were very helpful and approachable. Lovely walks into York.Very little road noise from the nearby A64. I will definitely be back.

It’s good to be back!

As I said, it is so good to be back enjoying our vans again. We have really enjoyed our few days at this site which was really clean, well laid out and Covid safe. Julie, one of the wardens, rang us prior to our stay requesting payment and advised that we should be able to use the toilets, but not the showers, although we are quite happy to use our own facilities. When we arrived we were passed an envelope by the warden with all the information required and asked to ‘log in’ to the QR code. Other than not being able to use the showers our stay felt like normal (except for keeping your distance when talking to fellow caravanners). Well done to the wardens for making this as safe as possible in the circumstances and we will return. Thank you.
