A great site

This is a lovely site and we would endorse all of the reviews that have gone before us. A few points to note; We were there for six nights (not enough) up to the 9th July. It was really quiet, only about a 1/4 full and had the pool almost to ourselves every day. This is just before the season kicks in so no bread man unfortunately. We had no TV reception on our pitch (8) but huge pitch and right on the river, great sightings of the kingfishers. The combination of lack of TV and the World Cup meant that we needed to find a local bar showing England games. We saw one at the Terresses Bar in St Cybernet near the bridge, English speakers and all very welcoming. Football aside the location is great for Sarlat and three lovely castles to visit inside 15 minutes drive. The restaurant at marquesyssac gardens was amazing, incredible views and food superb. Very close to Caslelnaud with its lovely castle and you can pick up a canoe there for a paddle down the river. That was a highlight for us. Back to the site, a couple of things to remember, need an adaptor for the electric, but can hire one on site for a 20 euro deposit. The other point we struggled with was the road in, our sat nav which is a caravan club snooper took us in via Vitrac and it was a very steep and winding road, there is a much better route via sarlat that we would recommend using. This was our first visit to both this site and the area, we will definitely be going back.
