Lovely clean and quiet site

Stayed here for 3 weeks in June. The site is clean and toilet blocks are cleaned several time a day. Ideally situated for beaches and town. Friendly welcome from owner. Our pitch was a good size and level. Need to have a polarity reverse electric connection. Pool is clean and well kept but nothing fancy! Only basic food available on site, but the supermarket is 2 minutes bike ride away and lots of places to eat in the town. The town is small but lovely, and lively on market days. Can cycle from the site. Had a lovely holiday here.

Perfectly positioned site for all facilities nearby

We absolutely loved our stay at Camping Bel, which was extended from 9 nights to 15 after our car broke down. We found the owners and staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The toilets and shower block were large and spotlessly clean. The site itself was well laid out, beautifully maintained with good sized pitches and very peaceful. We made good use of the pool area and found the pool to be a good size and never any trouble to find a sun bed, during low season (mid June). The local supermarket is just a few minutes walk away and open daily from 9am - 19:30pm. We found the town to be full of lots of lovely restaurants to suit all tastes, just a short walk or cycle away from Bel. We particularly enjoyed Pizza Rico and La Forge Grill. Market days in the town are Tuesdays and Saturdays and well worth a visit, with a great atmosphere to enjoy the hustle and bustle. The local tourist office in the town is very helpful and they will supply you with local maps, which covered the town, walking & cycling routes. We enjoyed cycling the 5 miles to nearby La Faute Sur Mer. The route is flat and virtually cycle paths all the way. A nice beach and restaurants/bars await your arrival in this pretty little town. We met lots of people on site at Camping Bel who have been going back for twenty plus years and with good reason. We can’t wait to return to Camping Bel and would recommend it to all!

Seaside stop

Used this site as great for motor home being close to beach and town. Town is a bit touristy which is to be expected. Beaches have green weed at low water but otherwise lovely. Ideal for strolling cycling particularly in evening. Great free resort bus service, We took boat trio to Isle de Re these run daily but timings depend on tide cost was 28 euros. We arranged cycle hire for our 4 hour stay and this was very cheap at 8 euros each. Boat trips als run to other islands and :a Rochelle but long day/ Limited bus service from outside campsite. On arrival we were taken straight to pitch and given choice shade/sun. Snack bar very good value. Good size pitches with hedges or wall boundaries. Large supermarket within walking distance but be aware that access for fuel is difficult for large vehicles
