We arrived very tired at the restaurant and were turned away because they were fully booked. A lovely site that remains tranquil even though it is big. People come back here year after year and not just for an overnighter and I can see why. Faultless site. We explored the town of St Omer, good cafes an excellent art gallery, interesting cathedral and a welcoming tourist information office.
MSW Holiday 2023
The best and beautiful site we stayed in, Shame only there for 2 days and close to Calais. We well deferentially stay there longer next time. The manager Julian, spoke excellent English and the campsite was surrounded by woodland and lovely walks. Pitches are on grass and hook up only, Toilets very clean. Swimming pool and surrounded area clean and well looked after.
Please make time to visit the German Bunker, appox 2 km walk which is a museum and it costs 11 euros per person, worth every penny, dogs go free.
A little gem
We visited this site twice in June for one night stop overs but intend to go back for a longer period as we enjoyed our time there. The site is approximately 40 minutes from Calais port and if you set the sat nav to avoid tolls you get a nice country drive to the site. The site is peaceful and the pitches large and well provisioned with electric hookup. Everything is well maintained and the pool was a blessing in the June sunshine. The real bonus is the on-site bar and restaurant. The food and service are excellent. Just two minutes drive down the road the is a local carrefour supermarket so you can stock up on provisions and self cater if you prefer. There is a nice country walk to the supermarket if you prefer.
Nice site but a bit isolated, though a good stop over.
We stayed here in May last year so apologies for the delay in reviewing. I lost my notebook!
This was the first stop on our eight week holiday touring France.
Really nice site with good bar and restaurant facilities.
There is no on site shop but there is a supermarket within a mile and a half.
It is not close to anything.
Good shower facilities and waste disposal. Would we go back? Probably not because of the isolation.
Ideal for Eurotunnel/ferries and longer stays.
Brilliant site, with good bar and restaurant. Julien the manager is extremely professional and helpful, we keep coming back !

Always good
This is our regular last stop before the crossing back home. Julien - in reception - will arrange a vet appointment prior to your ferry crossing if required. This year we stopped on our first night as well: Obeying the rules re bringing foodstuffs into the EU, once set up we popped down to the Carrefour [about 2 miles] to stock up with everything. They also do click and collect - which I might try next time... Easiest access at present is via D943, left at roundabout onto D300 and then left at next roundabout onto Rue de Bleue Maison- which leads to the site entrance. We somehow took a wrong turn on our way back and had to execute a horrible [and slow] right turn with the caravan inches from street furniture. There are also roadworks on the road outside the site, leading to diversion in the town. They had moved about 200 meters in the four weeks between our visit so they may be some time!
Do visit the Blockhouse if you get the chance - the size of the building in amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stopover at this delightful site.
Excellent welcome from Julien, who speaks English fluently. Beautiful site was not busy, endless grass pitches to choose from. Site is very well maintained. Beautiful mature trees give shade, many other pitches in full sun. Great activity facilities, 2 outdoor swimming pools were being prepared for the season, tennis court, basketball, table tennis ( undercover & outdoor) and play area. Plenty of space for ball games etc away from pitches. Excellent, clean sanitary facilities etc.
We enjoyed dinner in the on site restaurant both evenings, most especially the delicious desserts. . Lovely log fire in the bar.
Visited Blockhouse, which really is just down the road. A very informative, truly moving experience. Julien gave us discount vouchers but in truth it was well worth the full admission.
Highly recommend this site. We will happily stay here again in the future
Back Again
We have used this site a number of times, the first was a 10 day holiday, since then as a stop over on our way down France or prior to catching the ferry. The facilities are superb and the site restaurant is good, ideal after a long drive to have someone cook you a meal!!
The reception is always welcoming with a smile. Certainly recommend this site for either a break or stop over.
Excellent 3 night stay
Campsite easy to find , just under 30 minutes from Calais.
We used this as a test for taking our dog to Europe for the first time. Warm welcome from Julian who kindly booked us a vet appointment in a nearby town.
Campsite well laid out, big pitches, ours are was flat but a few looked to have a slight slope. Good food at reasonable price at the restaurant/bar.
Blockhouse interesting and very moving, ask at campsite reception for discount vouchers. We used our bikes a lot and followed the local trails. As others have said local supermarket is an easy 5 minutes by bike. We had an excellent stay and will definitely be back.

Great stopover site, worth a few days at least
Stayed here having come across on the tunnel - being only 30 minutes from the terminal it is an easy journey.
Whilst it is a great stopover location it is more than that, there are many historical locations in the area which could easily fill up to a week and the facilities on site are very family friendly so something for everyone here.
Forest just 15 minutes walk away is great for walking the dog.
On site restaurant is good.
Carrefour just down the road for shopping and Diesel.
