Excellent with a few things to note

Good site in a stunning location.  We were met on arrival by Stephan who made us welcome and helped us pitch.  Stephan and Aline were helpful and full of useful information.  The public transport links are good: we didn't use the car for a week!  Facilities were good and spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water.  The site was well-tended.  But be aware: our pitch was side on to an IGLU...when occupied the occupants were as close as if they'd been in our awning which we found uncomfortable.  And some of the serviced pitches are quite small...our car and caravan occupied 2 which was fine; but in high season it would have been cramped.

An excellent level site with amazing views of mountains. Friendly helpful staff and good facilities. Pool a bit cold though! Free local bus pass which was very useful and good tourist info and discount vouchers. Lovely 20 min walk to Thunersee or 20 mins into Interlaken Would stay here again.

This site and surrounding area is superb

Just returned from our fifth visit to this site so may be I do not need to say any more! The site is immaculately kept with always at any time of day super clean amenities. The owners and staff are always helpful, obliging and pleasant.  We come here mainly for the walking in the mountains and like to visit some of the lesser visited more remote areas some of which are only a 20 to 30 minute drive away from the site. However there is excellent walking and scenery at the tourist hot spots such as First and Mannlichen from where walks of varying length radiate from. The train and bus services are comprehensive even for access into the mountains but it is also easy to use your own transport to access most areas often with free parking or at a very favourable rate around 3 to 5 francs per day. Can not wait to go back!!!

Disappointed

Pitch was small and crammed in with a Camping and Caravan Club holiday rally. Workman sawing, drilling and generally noisy from very early morning. Wifi was rubbish and virtually non existent in the caravan. Weather was wet and miserable and the mountain views poor. We will not be returning to Lazy Rancho but will consider the Jungfrau site.

Over-priced and over-rated

Spent 6 days. Saw view of mountains afar for 1 day as weather was bad. Very noisy from road traffic from early morning to late night, from road just feet from site - tractors, lorries, motorcycles, cars etc. Road allows only one vehicle with passing places. Good 10 minutes walk to nearest bus stop which is adjacent to another site (Camping Jungfrau) which has wider pitches and is away from main road noise. Just 1 shower in mens with 2 toilets. Pitches are small and very close with no hedging which is only present between every 2 rows. Tree shade is sparse. Disappointed. Will stay in Jungfrau camping next time.

First time in Switzerland

We were very impressed with all the information we were given upon arrival about the site and free bus service for people who are staying in Interlaken. Stephan was great as he helped everyone level their vans without any of the usual fuss. Facilities were spotlessly clean what ever time of day.  The pitches were very close together and Wifi was not brilliant but usable.  The road to the site is very narrow and only allows for one car at a time, however there are a couple of passing spots. You wouldn't wish to meet another caravan coming the other way! Overall we would thoroughly recommend this site, with its great views.

Great Location

This is our first year as caravanners and we were delighted with this site. The views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jung Frau were stunning. Staff were very helpful and gave lots of good advice regarding sight seeing. We would be happy to return.

Stunning Interlaken

This site is excellent. The owner is pleasant and everyone is very happy to help. The only drawback for us was the walk to the local bus stop. However to the non-disabled that is not an issue. We previously stayed at Camping Jungfraublick and that was more convenient for the buses, trains and supermarkets.

Superb site

The cleanest, tidiest and best run site we have ever visited! Lovely grassy pitches, although limited shade was a problem as it was 35 degrees for the 5 nights we were there. Sanitary facilities high class and spotless. Shop good. Owners very helpful and friendly. Fantastic views of the snow capped Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains from the site. Reason for 4 stars for "Good for Families" as probably only suitable for families who like walking, hiking, etc. No on site entertainment suited us (young retired couple). Small swimming pool, but good for cooling off! However, can also swim in nearby lakes and rivers. Lots to do, such as mountain train trips, Top of Europe train to Jungfrauhoch, lake boat trips, towns and villages to visit, etc. However, Switzerland is expensive, so plan your trips and consider buying Swiss Pass or similar discount cards.

Lovely

The location of this site is really stunning with beautiful views of the Idgah the monk and the young Frau mountains.  It is immaculately kept and immaculately clean.  It is a little bit of a walk into Interlaken,  but this means it is very quiet and there are some lovely walks very nearby which are great for dogs.  Be on site shop has is stocked with basics and remarkably is not expensive.  I noticed the apples were half the price of the ones in the supermarket.  There was a lovely small play area for children,  so we liked it because it was not overly commercial.
