Not for us

Stayed here mid July. Good facilities and ideal for chateau. But disappointed at the pitch and condition of the pitches. In trees and we were surrounded by washing lines. All we saw out of our caravan was washing lines all around us. Could not get into pool as it was very busy with children on lie lows and footballs. Will not be returning.

Lovely stopover - would have stayed longer!

We booked this site as a stopover on route to Lac du Pareloup in Southern France. It's an ideal location for anyone travelling south on the A71, about 5.5 hrs from the Eurotunnel and easy to find. We were welcomed by very helpful (English speaking if required) staff and shown to our pitch by a lovely chap on a pedal cycle.  Pitch was very spacious. We are a couple plus 17 year old and a Labrador in a VW Camper so don't take up the most space! It was clearly a very family friendly site and the pool complex looked good although we didn't have time to use it. The sanitary facilities were clean and the water hot although they are mixed facilities. We had a meal from the bar as we had arrived late and the pizzas were lush, my daughter had the quiche and polished it all off so that must have been good too! There were lots of different nationalities and everyone seemed to have made the most of their spots, setting up their own little personal touches and fairy lights etc which gave the whole site a really warm and pretty feel. It is set in woodland and there is still water lakes nearby so I did unfortunately get eaten alive by the mozzi's despite my best precautions. We wouldn't hesitate to return here or to stay a few days longer to explore.

Great site

This is great site both for a short stop over or a longer stay. We stopped for 3 nights on our way to the Lot which broke our journey from Le Havre. The site has good facilities, an excellent swimming pool complex and the restaurant serves a good choice of food. The pitches are of a good size, accommodating our twin axle with plenty of room for awning, car etc. The staff are all very friendly and good English is spoken

A really lovely site

Good sized pitches, clearly defined by mature trees. There is an eco trail with information boards, a large pool and a smaller child's pool. All staff extremely helpful and friendly, the manager especially so! He works very hard to please all of his guests and drove the shuttle bus we booked to take us into nearby Blois. A great town with lots to see ( buy your discount tickets for the chateau at the campsite!) and places to eat, drink and watch the world go by. I'd definitely return here, there's still so much more to explore.

Friendly welcome & good facilities await

If you enjoy visiting Chateau and Vineyards then this is an ideal location for you at a site that is well looked after by friendly helpful folks and has great facilities. There is a lovely swimming pool area comprising both open and an enclosed sections. There are a number of pathways and cycle tracks surrounding the site but be careful if you have dogs running free on some of them have traffic on them albeit fairly minimal. A very limited food offering was available on site which was a shame as we would have used the facility had there been more choice. We understand that this changes in July/August. This is however compensated by the fact that the local village 2 or 3 kilometers away has a number of decent choices. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and worked hard to cope with the flooding that had recently affected some of their pitches. Overall a very good site that we will definitely use again.

Great Site - pleanty to see and do

A great site which is located in the heart of the Chateaux region. I would definitely stay again! The staff offer a warm welcome and are willing to please. They offer discount tickets on behalf of their “partners” to various Chateaux’s and local events. The site itself is clean and well maintained with the pitches under dappled shade. There is a Super U on the outskirts of the next village and Blois is easily reached by car, ask at reception and they will advise where you can long term park in Blois. Great location, exceptional staff and a welcoming atmosphere on site and lots to see and do, what more would you want.

Nice place - shame about the weather!

We enjoyed 10 nights here. Welcome was very friendly and the staff always helpful. Facilities were spotless and appeared adequate in number, although it was early season, there was a british rally on one part of the site and, for a time, another smaller rally elsewhere on site, but there was never any queuing required. Pitches were of a good size with electric points well positioned and there was a good supply of fresh water points. Grey water disposal was only at the motorhome service point, which was a bit of a walk. Our stay coincided with some poor weather, this meant that the site roads got a bit muddy and the pitches soft - owner actually took about 10 out of use as motorhomes were having difficulty. There was some traffic noise - but not unduly intrusive and usually not during sleeping hours. There was much wildlife in the area, with many birds and amphibians evident around the site. Site is adjacent to several marked cycle routes which are fairly level and is well situated for visiting chateaux and vinyards.

A lttle gem

We stayed at Les Saules in July 2015 for 10 nights and loved it. Staff were very helpful and friendly, site was kept clean and tidy. Great food and takeaway and wifi at the bar area was good and you didn't have to buy a drink to use it. The site had a very relaxed atmosphere and the cycling was brilliant in the area. Will definitely be back.

Lovely Site

We stayed here for seven nights in July and found everything was as it said on the tin!! Very tidy and well kept site. Very good pool area ideal for young families but also for us slightly older ones!! Very friendly English speaking staff. Good Wi-Fi near the bar area - always an excuse for a drink or two. The site is in an area where beautiful French chateau are within easy reach, including Cheverny, Chenonceau and Chambord Would not hesitate to return here. Thoroughly recommended.
