Great Site

We dont normally use big sites but having stayed at a Yellooh Villages site elsewhere we hoped it would be of a similar standard. It is. We were impressed with the way the site was run with plenty of staff on reception to escort you to your pitch. We had a fully serviced pitch which was near reception and the bar restuarant complex. The restaurant is very good and popular so book early. The take away is also good. The shop has the essentials and overall we were very happy to stay here. Some toilet blocks have no seats but if you move onto the next one it will have some. I have seen other comments about nothing to do in the area but I disagree. The site is near the coast and there are loads of pretty seaside villages and harbours in the area. Slightly further afield is Carnac, Quiberon and La Trinite Sur Mer as well as the town of Vannes which is worth a visit. We liked it here with our caravan and plan to return next year for a longer stay. One tip, if approaching from Vannes direction do not turn into Baden by Carrefore as you will end up in the village. Its doable even with an 8ft wide caravan but better to continue to the next roundabout and turn left which will take you through a residential area to the site.

3 weeks in Morbihan

Easy drive to the site from Cherbourg. Got to the site and reception was very slick. Ready for us, booked in got our wristband and then followed a person on a golf cart to the pitch. We have a large caravan and the site was tight to negotiate but no problems if you are careful. The pitch we were booked on to was too small for us. Our caravan would have gone from the back to the front of the pitch and, by the time we had put up our ¾ awning and dome there would have been no room for the car. We said the pitch was too small for us. That was disappointing as I had mailed the site weeks before and said we had a large caravan and was assured we could have a large, sunny pitch nearish to the facilities. This pitch was small, dark and just about as far away as you could get from the facilities!! We were not allowed to select a pitch on booking – even for an additional payment. The chap who came to talk to us was, by chance, the person I had been e mailing. He asked us to wait a few minutes and he went away to see what he could do. He came back us and took us to see two other pitch choices. We had to stay on the small pitch but then moved to what was pretty much the best pitch on the site. It was large (had to be 250 or 300 sq m) and was next to the field the circus played on fortnightly. They were not noisy and there were only 8 pitches in our road. Great. Swimming pool was one of the very best we had been on, slides, indoor and two levels of outdoor pool, lazy river. Can’t fault it. The restaurant and take away were well appointed and had reasonable prices. Ice creams were cheaper than in seaside towns. Unsurprisingly as we were in France the staff spoke French well and English only a little better than my French!! Not an issue on the welcome meeting but for the teen club, which was a key reason for us choosing this site as we have a single teen with us, it was. The teen club catered well for the French teens but our charge didn’t feel happy to ‘break in’. I think some English teens attended but I don’t know how they got on. Cycled quite a bit but there are few ‘off road’ cycle tracks. Some roads have hatched edges which offers some protection. There is limited stock/variety in the site shop but there is a Carrefour in Baden (5 mins). About 50% of our time was wet or cloudy but the pitch drained well. I didn’t think there was a lot to see in the area – others may disagree. The beaches we found (apart from Carnac) weren’t great. Went to Quiberon (about 25 miles) enjoyed it and Quiberon itself was nice. One way in and one way out though. Vannes is worth a visit and so is Auray. Didn’t get to Ile aux Moines which would have been 60 Euro for the 3 of us. We probably wouldn’t go back but not because of the site. There wasn’t enough in the area for us to keep us amused for the time we were there. Other people looking for different things or prepared to drive further will have a different view.

Mane Guernehue - June 2019

Site was very easy to find using the Club Directions. Very pleasant welcome and efficiently checked in. We were allocated Pitch 207, good size, near shower blocks etc. The shower block nearest us was a bit older, however was clean. The swimming pool complex was great and the indoor pool is a good size for the couple of days when the weather wasn't so kind. Good walking direct from the site, and lots to see and do within easy reach. Ate once in the restaurant, reasonable prices and helpful staff, service a little dis-jointed at times, however I think it might have been because it was early in the season and a number of staff were training. Overall site had a very pleasant vibe, however I think in July / August it could be creaking at the seams and very busy.

Fantastic site

Stayed here for the 1st stop of our 1st ever French touring holiday and we were not disappointed, The facilities are brilliant, lovely and clean. Lots to do for the children and the pool was fantastic. We ate in the poolside restaurant and we were impressed the food was great 5 Euro for a pint of Kronenbourg if anyone interested in the prices. Nothing really in walking distance but there is so much to do on site and a short drive away it was great. Reception staff were great and helpful. The shop had lots of food at prices the same as the nearest super market near enough, nice fresh baguettes etc in the mornings. Overall our favourite and would def return again for our next French trip when we go a bit further down.

The park is very big lots of mobile homes on it the showers and toilets very clean and tidy the park is well maintained, nice big pools indoor and outdoor had nice wheater for the time we was there for the ten day as well plenty of places to visit in the area array is a very nice town to visit market day is well worth the visit in array you can walk down to the port area nice restaurant down their drink our eat badem the village near the site is nice to walk to nice café to site and pass the time away Vannes is well worth the visit as well go on the tour train that takes you around the old town very interesting tour the site was generally busy would not come in high season as it is more of a family site, would I come back maybe early season if passing the area,

A lovely site

We were here for 4 nights in May and found a clean well run site. The swimming pools, indoor and outdoor were fabulous, so if you have water babies this is the place for you. The restaurant was quite expensive for snack type food. The reception staff were excellent when we were leaving and found all roads through Baden, and back to the Motorway, were closed for a cycle race. The young lady in reception found us a map, drew us an alternative route, and off we went. Would definitely recommend it.

Great Site

Wow, what a site, fantastic. stayed for 9 nights in September. Access for twin axles was ok, good pitch choice, near to the town of Baden, supermarket 3 miles, and 2 miles from the coast. The indoor pool is the best we have seen in France. The take away pizza`s are good. Free wifi (that actually works) in the bar area. Toilet blocks cleaned several times a day, some of them needed a bit of an update, but clean and lots of hot water with good water pressure. We will def return to this site.Happy

June and July

When we arrived the toilet and shower facilities were appalling although our second week things did improve. The disabled facilities were disgusting and we're virtually nonexistent. We did not like our pitch that was allocated and when we went back to reception were virtually dismissed so we just said we would move to another empty pitch that was near.Overall staff not very helpful. This site was much more expensive than our previous site Domains de Logis and in comparison were world's apart.
