Great site for Disney

We stayed for 5 nights in August with the kids. The welcome was fantastic and very friendly, being shown to our pitch is a great touch. When we got to the pitch the lady asked for a few minutes while she made a call, she then advised us that an alternative pitch was available with more shade if we wanted. We accepted and we were lucky as the weather was very kind during our stay with hot sun, the shade was appreciated! The pitch was huge! We used the pool everyday, it was busy but not crowded, and has no slides etc but the kids just want to swim, jump in and play! Easy access to Disney, we went to the Disney village one day and then entered the park the following day. We parked at the Disney village which is easy to get to and very easy to get back out from after the fireworks. I believe the disney village car park is also slightly cheaper than the main car park. Many shops etc not too far away, however we got bread, croissants, pain au chocolat and fresh milk from the van on site everyday, as mentioned it is cash only. Friendly service and good range of fresh local fruit and tomatoes as well. I was surprised that the site wasn't full! The showers and toilets were clean and worked well, just a little dated, this wasnt an issue for us. The kids didnt like carrying toilet roll so they used the caravan toilet!!!

Great site, highly recommend

This is the third summer holiday we have had at this site and we love it! I have left a review before but wanted to comment again as that was three years ago. The main reason for choosing is it’s close proximity to Disneyland Paris, about 25 mins drive. However, it is a great choice for a number of other reasons; 1. The pitches are large and the site attractive, well landscaped and maintained. 2. The snack bar and morning/breakfast van are great, the snack bar is more than ‘snacks’, lovely pizzas, chips and burgers - easily get a full dinner. 3. The pool is very clean and well maintained, my children went in everyday we were not at Disneyland! 4. The toilet facilities are basic but they are clean and in good repair, the only ‘dirt’ is some grass and mud people have walked in, the actual bowls and sinks are cleaned regularly. 5. It is in a good location to other attractions and the train station, a short ride into Paris. It is also 10 mins to the local supermarket in the car. 6. The family and staff that run it are lovely, we received a warm welcome, they are always helpful. They clearly take a lot of pride in their site. This site has already provided us with some special holiday memories, we hope to be back! Thanks again Caravan 4 des vents!

Awful toilets but great staff and big pitches

There are a good few reviews of this site that miss some fundamental points. The facilities are not modern by any other countries standards bar France. There are no toilet seats for one and no toilet roll in the cubicles (you have to take your own or get a stack from a communal dispenser (but nowhere to store it while you go)). The facilities by the pool were not clean either. Then there are the electrics. Unlike all the other European sites we stayed on in this trip, the rating is only 6A and they trip off regularly even if you don't have anything on but a fridge. It needs a run to the office to reset (surely a consumer unit at each post would be a better solution?) The pool is not heated which was pretty bracing but ok-ish for (very) short periods. The pool is also leaking leaving an unpleasant ring of fetid water round the edge. The gate system is weird. The gates are shut as you arrive but unlocked so you have to get out and push them open. Begs the question why they are shut at all? However, on the plus side the pitches are massive with a variety of shade and sun. The location and access are great (watch out for satnav sending you down a single track road on the way in though). The staff are excellent and the food from the bar is great. The on site bounlangerie van is good in the mornings was good but unfortunately cash only (first time we have used cash in 2 weeks on holiday). So it's a good site but not great. You have to be aware of the deficiencies and accommodate them. Could be much better with a revamp of the toilets and electric system.

Response from the Campsite:

Bonjour

We were delighted to welcome you to Les 4 Vents and would like to thank you for taking the time to give us your opinion and feedback on your stay.

We would like to mention a few points raised in your comment.

With regard to the toilet seats, we are subject to controls and the ceramic toilet bowls comply with NF requirements (French standards). Unfortunately, we cannot do otherwise.

Toilet paper used to be available in every washroom and following blocked toilets and large quantities on the floor we were obliged to position the large rolls at the entrance to the toilet cubicles.

We are sorry that we can only provide a maximum of 6 amps per electrical connection at the moment, which is why we specify this on the Caravan and Motorhome Club website. ( We are surprised that your fridge alone consumes more than this )

The swimming pool is not currently heated, but it will be next season with the help of solar panels and the pool surround will be completely changed. The Covid crisis has put us well behind schedule.

To answer your question, the campsite gates are closed and opened manually to ensure the safety of our visitors, especially children, who could very quickly find themselves on the outside road.

We are delighted that you appreciated the size of the pitches.

The snack restaurant and the bakery are independent of the campsite, we will not fail to share your opinion with them.

Once again, we thank you for your visit to Les 4 Vents and we are sorry that the service and delivery did not meet your expectations.

The whole team hopes to welcome you during a future stay.

Beautiful day.

Top choice

We’ve had a wonderful and lengthy stay. The site is a bit of a hidden gem with everything you could want. Staff are terrific! The site is in a rural location but with easy access to many locations. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our Fourth Visit

The fact we have been here 3 times before should be enough to tell you what a great site this is. An amazing reception on arrival from the owners and an escort to your pitch. As we visited out of season we were offered a selection to choose from and just let then know which one we had. We opted for a pitch with plenty of shade but also enough sun when we wanted it. The pitches are HUGE. If you can't get your outfit pitched on this site you really need to wonder if you should be using a tourer at all!!!!. It really is like pitching up in a beautiful garden which is maintained to a high standard. As usual there's bread available on site during high season but the Boulangerie just up the road is great. We used the railway station in Touran for our trains to Paris. We bough two Navigo weekly passes for €35 each which includes €5 for the pass. You need a small photo for them to make up the pass but the lady at the station kindly took copies from our driving licences. That gave us free travel on all buses and trains in the Ile de France area including the Metro for 5 days (M-F) We found them great value and Touran station is only a 15 minute drive away with free parking. Tip: Go for line P which provides a direct fast train from Touran to Paris (29 minutes) You also need a map of the Metro. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners of this site so please ask if you need help or advice. Even if we didn't want to go into Paris again (we don't) we would still visit this site again because its so nice. Tip 2: Not sure how this works but there were a few holiday makers who shared a pitch (I saw Spanish with 2 caravans and a group of 3 Polish in two caravans and a motorhome and in all cases still had plenty of room.) There are also a few cabins if you wanted to holiday with friends who don't have their own accommodation.

Our First overseas trip with caravan

Most people will start their review from arrival but this site shone in the weekend before arrival. As this was our first trip abroad with caravan and our dog we were unsure on finding vets to give the required medication for our furbaby to return to uk. We emailed site for advice and not only did they reply promptly they asked if we wanted them to book an appointment at their vets. This they did and made our life so much easier. Now from the arrival we were welcomed by a lady who spoke excellent English and after check in she took us personally to our pitch on her bike. The pitches are massive and surrounded by hedges. The swimming pool was excellent but be prepared it’s not heated but once in its lovely. Free table tennis and table football on site. We had a day at Disney which was only 20 min drive away all information was available at reception and the lady’s on site were very informative. We used the train to get into Paris and again the lady’s in reception advices on the train station and what tickets to buy. Me and the son had a day at PSG ground which the lady in reception gave us the route to take and what tickets to purchase. Basically it’s the best site with best staff we have ever been on. The only negative I can give is we only stayed 7 nights we wished we had stayed longer. We will definitely be returning next year and definitely staying for longer. Loved this site and everything about it from location, facilities and information it can not be faulted. See you next year.

4 Reasons to stay at 4 Vents

Where to start, with the 4 Reasons to stay? Ok here we go! Reason 1. The site itself is stunning!! Beautifully looked after in terms of plants, trees, shrubs etc., generous pitches, extremely clean facilities and clearly enjoyed by many of our friendly European cousins and not an ex-pat exclusive corner of France - which is just what we wanted. I was also delighted with the myriad recycling facilities and easy access grey waste and chemical loo disposal. Reason 2. The beauty of the site is equally matched by the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. As others have stated their English is way better than my French, though I tried as often as I could to use their language. We had an issue with our van, (not a fault of the site) and they went out of their way to help, Reason 3. Location. It's situated in an idylc rural location, where night time star gazing is so good for the soul. You can walk (15 mins) to the local village, La Houssaye-en-Brie, each morning for fresh bread, croissants etc. And the same time in your car / van will get you to Tournan station for a train directly to Paris, 30min journey or 1hr journey depending on which train you choose. Tournan also has a great boulangerie. Reason 4. If I've not convinced you with the first thee, this won't either, but I felt it was really good value for money. We went in May for 5 nights and it was so quiet, but I would happily return in higher season as the pitches felt spacious enough to feel secluded if that is your thing. Seriously, well worth a look!

Excellent Pitches

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2022, at the start of our holiday - we would have popped into Paris but we hit the hottest days ever so instead just chilled. The site is clean with lovely, large pitches, many offering shade. We did not ray the pool but it looked great. We visited a nearby restaurant found on TripAdvisor called La Chaumière and would highly recommend.

Fantastic Site

We have stayed at this site on two occasions (summer 2018 and summer 2020) and had a fabulous holiday both times. This site is perfectly located for visiting Disneyland Paris, about 20 mins drive. The pitches are very spacious, well maintained and attractive. The owners and staff are very helpful, polite and welcoming. It felt lovely when we arrived for our second visit and they were able to put as on the same pitch again. The children loved the pool and it is kept very clean and tidy. Great playground too. Supermarket just a short drive away. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this site and highly recommend, we have had two fantastic holidays there and have taken away many happy memories.

We really like this site

We have had short stays here in August for each of the last 3 years. On the first two to visit Disneyland, and most recently in 2019 for a day trip into Paris. Excellent access both to Disneyland by car and to Paris centre via the the nearby train station. Really peaceful campsite, fantastic generous sized pitches with hedged borders. Lots of space for the kids to play and move around. The only thing that lets this site down is the small number of toilet cubicles (you are invariably queuing at peak time in the morning) and the lack of toilet paper in the cubicles. Only other feedback for the site would be that the pool would benefit from some depth markers, as we found it tricky to judge turning up with our 6 year old who is an early swimmer. However we continue to be really pleased with this site and I am sure we will be returning in the future.
