Great Site for Honfluer Visit

We used this site as a stopover with our caravan as it is only 90 minutes from the ferry terminal at Dieppe. The site was easy to find using SatNav preprogrammed with GPS coordinates. We arrived early July 2023 and were greeted on arrival by an english speaking lady and allocated a pitch in the first terrace. The pitch was grass and was a reasonable size for our caravan. Unlike other reveiwers we found the pitch to be fine and as a bonus it had a water supply on pitch which we had not booked. There is a lovely little restaurant which we used one night and the food was good. The toilet block was a mixture of french and english style but was clean and typical of french campsites. It is in a rural location with not much nearby so may not suit motorhomers but for caravans and campers with a car it is easy to get into Honfluer and other nearby destinations. We use the Newhaven to Dieppe route every year now as we want to avoid the hassle of Dover/Calais and I would happily return to this site. In fact, we are thinking of using it again when we return home . I would not use it as my main holiday destination but for a stopover or a few days I am happy to reccommend it.

Beware if ground moist, need mud mats

stayed 3 nights 22/6/23 Reception staff lovely and helpful. Allocated pitch but had to divert around the site as a motorhome was stuck trying to reverse onto its pitch. It hadn't rained recently and the weather was hot and dry. Found our pitch and again with ourselves, got stuck and had great difficulty getting on the pitch. All pitches were grass and it appears they don't drain well, a number of other motorhomes had experienced problems. We needed a long cable as power boxes spaced out between pitches. we were directly opposite play area but it was still pre school holidays and we had no issues. there is a small restaurant on site, pool. Washing machines available reasonably priced. Did not need to use site sanitary facilities but they did appear old. Good cycling around local area, including back roads to Honfleur. Would advise not taking MH into the town, unless you are intending to use the city aire, as it gets filled up fast and quickly gets congested. Beautiful town, very picturesque gets busy. After 3 nights despite it being very hot and dry, we had great difficulty getting off the pitch mud mats required. Enjoyed it but would not use again as we have explored area. Have mud mats just in case

Disappointed

We stayed at this site recently and although the pitches are well spaced and it is peaceful we cannot recommend it. There is nowhere to walk to, the road outside is quite busy with lots of blind bends and there is no footpath or bus stop. But what really spoiled it for us was the showers. They were FREEZING and I mean FREEZING! Lots of people were complained but the staff just shrugged and said they were warm. We will not stay here again.

Friendly well maintained site

This is a three star campsite. Very near Honfleur and handy supermarket at Beuzeville for fuel and provisions. We use this site quite often as a stop over. It doesn't have modern toilets and does have a mixture of french squat and English WC's. It is kept clean but of course there will be occasions when the users tread grass and soil in - not the sites fault. There is a good terrace and bar and the cafe does reasonable meals at a decent price. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and speak good English. I like this site and have no hesitation in saying I would use it again.

Will not return

Horrible toilet facilities - two "holes in the ground", a few Western-style loos but most without toilet seats, had to search around & go back to reception to ask where the services hook up was, difficult to find amongst the hedges. Glad we only stayed one night. Handy location for moving on being right by the Pont de Normandie. But nothing in the immediate vicinity to walk to.

Nice site

We stayed here for two nights to break the journey on the way home from a tour of Brittany, and also because we wanted to visit Honfleur. It was a pleasant site, with individual pitches separated by hedges. The facilities were very adequate and very clean, but please be aware that the toilet and shower blocks close at 9.30pm. There are some more basic “outdoor” facilities (individual covered cubicles, but not enclosed within a building) available throughout the night but they can get busy on the last visit before bedtime! The pool was nice but busy and we did not use the bar or the restaurant. Fresh bread is available to order each morning, there is plenty of local information in the reception area and staff were helpful. We cycled into Honfleur (3.5 miles) and had a lovely lunch and a wander around. It also appeared to be an easy drive with plenty of parking available. There was some traffic noise, with the A29 and Pont de Normandie not far away, but it did not keep us awake.

Friendly site with good pitches

We had 2 nights here and enjoyed it - the pitch was great with hedges on 3 sides and good access to electricity and water. The family owners were very friendly and offered to take us to Honfleur for 10 Euros return which was a huge help as we had a motorhome and it was easier to leave it at the site. Honfleur was beautiful so this is a great site to see the town. The facilities weren't great but were serviceable and there was entertainment at night which was a bit noisy but not too late. They do excellent croissants - the best we tasted. We enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Very nice site

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base for visiting Honfleur. The site is very tidy with good facilities and helpful friendly staff. The pitch we had was large and sheltered. We cycled into Honfleur in the daytime for sight-seeing, rather busy roads but not too hilly. The only issue was lack of buses or taxis to get into Honfleur in the evening. We walked in but it took us 80 mins. The owner very kindly picked us up. A very nice site that we are happy to recommend.

Great find

First visit this year. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good sized hedged pitches. Site well organised, clean facilities, good bar, pool, takeaway and bar snacks.  Electricity variable charges not a problem. You choose which you want and it's not expensive anyway. Will definitely return.
