We stayed here at the very end of the season so I might be unfair to the site. If you want peace and quiet then this is the place. The site is mainly for set up for holiday homes to rent or buy and the touring pitches were round the edge looking out over a field which is quite nice as it feels quite open. You need transport to get out and about as it is not in walking distant of a shop. There was a restaurant on site but that was closed. There were hardly any touring people staying there when we stayed there, so it felt a bit strange to be on a large site without seeing many people around you. The toilets were clean and functional but had no soap or hand dryer and the showers were in just a "lean to" off of the toilets, so were fairly open to the elements and even though the weather wasn't cold when we stayed there, I felt cold to shower due to the breeze and the water wasn't over hot. Be careful when walking about as there were lots of very hard and sharp seeds from the trees on the ground which got stuck in my shoes and got carried into the motorhome for us to tread on in the night and the dog wasn't over happy with them either. The worse thing about the site was the mosquitoes. It is situated near a lot of inland water channels and ditches and the mosquitoes were terrible despite taking precautions (as we were warned by another couple staying there) my husband and I came away with over 30 bites each, which were extremely itchy for many days later. The mosquitoes may again been down to the time of year, mid September or the hot weather that we had a day or two before. The site has a pool which we didn't use so I can't comment and various other games areas, there was meant to be a fitness room but we didn't find that, so again I can't comment.
