A good 3* site

This is a 3 * site so does not have 5 * facilities. Our pitch was lake side with electricity and water. Surprisingly, not a mosquito in sight. Instead we watched the kingfishers, coypu, ducks and numerous fish whilst sitting on the pitch enjoying the peace and tranquillity. There was a good mix of Nationalities with both caravans and tents. Pitch sizes are good and we were given a choice which was good for August. Showers and toilet blocks were ok but a bit tired. The launderette offered 2 coin operated machines but the wash sinks had no plugs and the water was only warm .The restaurant though was a joke. Previous reviews referred to good food. We experienced no starters or desserts and only a choice of 3 main courses. Pizza, fish and chips or steak hache. Service was very slow and it was quicker to go to the bar. The bar was ok though. We found plenty to do in a week especially loving the seaside ports with their restaurants. The walk around the lake is a good one for a dog and the area is good for cycling.
