All in all a good spot for discovering Lac Leman

Stayed in a heat wave in July 2015. Got a pitch overlooking the lake (and Mont Blanc) which was good as it was only a minutes’ walk from door to lake for a cool-down swim (several times a day) and for launching canoes. Only downside with the pitch was that there was no tree cover from the sun so make sure you pitch the right way round to get shelter from the afternoon/evening sun. Toilet facilities a little dated in their structure and décor, but always kept clean and everything worked. Many of the pitches under the trees further in are occupied on a permanent basis, so may be difficult to get one with shade. One of the evenings the site put on entertainment with a singer and dancing which was jolly, but the rest of the time fairly peaceful. No real issues with noise from the nearby road or railway line. Morges is a short walk away and is a lovely well-heeled town with lots of café bars and shops. There is a station in Morges which was handy for taking the train in to look around Geneva (30 minutes ride) without taking the car. Also took a trip on the heritage paddle steamers to Montreaux which was a great day out. All in all a good spot for discovering Lac Leman.
