We have just come back from Portland after a weeks stay, we cannot fault this site in anyway after a long drive from Kent and a few problems on the roads we arrived to a loverly clean and friendly site. The reception staff where very helpful and gave as a loverly pitch close to the lake but my husband asked if we could move to another pitch he had seen when we drove in ,this was no trouble to the reception staff who where more then happy for us to move. The two swimming pools were well looked after as well as all of the grounds. The showers and toilet blocks where clean often throughout the day and allways plenty of hot water. The bar staff and restaurant staff where very friendly and the food was really good. We like that you could order your bread the day before and it would be delivered fresh at 7am the following morning. The walk down to the village behind the site is a loverly walk but coming back the hill is quite steep, but he helps work of the lovely food you have just eaten. Lovely site to explore Arromanches for D Day landings . We would highly recommend this site and will return in the future to bring the Grandchildren when there older to take them to the D day landing and to enjoy this amazing campsite.
