Fabulous Family Holiday

We stayed for 12 nights in the height of the August summer holidays and yet this was not a problem. We booked a "super" size pitch and were glad we had as some of the pitches were particularly small and if you haven't got a mover (we haven't) I imagine it would have been difficult to get onto. The staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. The toilet facilities were clean and the showers were hot and powerful (very!). The wifi kept my teens happy during the evenings and although we never participated, there was a full evening entertainment itinerary. We used the outside pool which was cool and busy but this was to be expected in peak season on a nice day. The whole feel of the site is relaxing and even though it was at full capacity during our stay it never once felt busy or crowded. The walk into Port-En-Bessin is lovely and we would do this most evenings. The hill back home is only a problem if you're invalid or lazy and then you can drive. The Super-U supermarket is a short drive in the car and every D-Day beach/museum etc is just a pleasant 10-20 min drive away. Bayeux is also on your doorstep. We watched wonderful fireworks in Friday night in Port-En-Bessin (only in August) which were beautiful to watch. On our last evening we had a meal in the restaurant which I can recommend. The food was superb and plentyful. We had an early ferry back from Caen and so made arrangements with reception to pitch up on our last evening in the car park so we could make an early get-away. I can't recommend this site enough. We travelled with 2 teenagers (15 & 17) and can hand on heart say this was one of the best family holidays we've had.
