Very clean quiet site

A bit tricky to find As it is down a side street. The nearby town is okay But not very scenic with lots of bars and restaurants. There are three supermarkets close by. Bike riding is possible but you would have to go on some roads. There is a little boat which takes you to the beach for €1.50 return. The beach is very nice with a nice bar cafe for lunch. Swimming in the sea is good and we went in September it was hot and quiet. Site itself has a lovely swimming pool Although the bar by the swimming pool was closed as it was out of season. There were no children on the site lots of old folks Which made it quiet half apart from the coughing and farting 😀😀😀😀 All in all with brilliant weather even in September we would definitely return.

A Real Find

Despite arriving on the 27th December we were slightly surprised to find most of the 240 touring pitches taken and were glad we had pre booked. Once we had settled in we could understand why as the facilities are excellent and well maintained. There are even a couple of large bays with a power wash to clean your vehicle on top of all the usual service points. The electricity is 16 amp! The pitches are moderate in size so it was a real bonus to discover that having booked through the club we were entitled to a double pitch. Excellent! The toilets and showers are clean and the water is hot and plentiful. We arrived tired and were slightly disappointed to find the campsite restaurant shut for a few weeks as it would have been convenient. What a find we had though discovering a couple of excellent restaurants within a five minute walk of the site both of which we tried out during our stay. The train station is also a short walk away and runs every hour into Tavira and on up the coastline. The Club website indicates that the site is shut from 1st January to the 15th March but some of our neighbours told us they were remaining there for the winter so not sure about that one. Overall excellent and a site we will definitely return to.
