Despite arriving on the 27th December we were slightly surprised to find most of the 240 touring pitches taken and were glad we had pre booked. Once we had settled in we could understand why as the facilities are excellent and well maintained. There are even a couple of large bays with a power wash to clean your vehicle on top of all the usual service points. The electricity is 16 amp! The pitches are moderate in size so it was a real bonus to discover that having booked through the club we were entitled to a double pitch. Excellent! The toilets and showers are clean and the water is hot and plentiful. We arrived tired and were slightly disappointed to find the campsite restaurant shut for a few weeks as it would have been convenient. What a find we had though discovering a couple of excellent restaurants within a five minute walk of the site both of which we tried out during our stay. The train station is also a short walk away and runs every hour into Tavira and on up the coastline. The Club website indicates that the site is shut from 1st January to the 15th March but some of our neighbours told us they were remaining there for the winter so not sure about that one. Overall excellent and a site we will definitely return to.
