Don't do it!

We are now in Italy and used Solothurn as a one night stop over for trip out to our destination and it was our intention to spend one night for our return journey. Arrived at site at about 5pm and the site was heaving. Checked in and paid the extra for tourist tax and dog and given pitch number. Had to drive through the hoards only to find someone had pitched a tent on our pitch. Went back to reception, no apology and allocated another site. When we finally found it (the pitch numbers were either damaged or missing) we found we needed an EHU cable approx 80 metres long. Vans, motor homes and tents packed in like sardines, you could touch the caravans at the back and the side through our window. Staff were unhelpful at best, rude, truculent and completely disorganised. Site noisy all night long. As said before, situated by the river, but on what can only be described as an industrial estate. So disappointed that we will forfeit our money (£34 per night + tax) for the return trip home next week and stay somewhere else. Job number one on our return: letter of complaint to CC. After current events, if there was a fire on the site, we would have had no chance.
