This enormous water park was rammed towel to towel during our August stay but does offer thrilling slides if you can stand the wait and the heat. Touring pitches are offered in two areas - amongst the tented camps with some shade and limited space; or in full sun, neither are particularly appealing but ok for a couple of days enroute to or from Croatia (the border crossing is just 8km away). The bathroom facilities are adequate - just. The on site TIC has a brochure of points of interest in the surrounding area and from this we put together an adhoc tour for the afternoon which had us visiting traditional Slovenian Homesteads, attempting to link arms round a 7m wide tree trunk, travelling the impossibly scenic wine road and stopping in a winery to visit their unique caves and taste some wines. Try the local pumpkin mayonnaise - weird sounding and very tasty.
