I have been visiting this site every year for some time as my main base for an extended Winter break. The site is constantly being improved by the hard working staff and management. Toilet facilities are some of the best I have come across, always clean and the showers are a good size with space for towels etc. so that they stay dry and safe. Site shop is well stocked if a little limited, but you can easily live on site without the need to travel off site. Local bus stops right outside the gate, roughly every 2 hours and goes to Lagos or Sagres via Vila Do Bispo and Budens. Supermarkets, market and farmers market (check dates) all in Lagos, plus a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Lovely old town to explore and wide promenade along the river till it meets the sea. Praia De Luz is about a mile away, but be warned it is a long steep walk back to site! Again, a number of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets in the resort, but shopping in Lagos is easier as the bus stops right outside Intermarche; and there area Lidl, Aldi and Continente in town as well. Sagres is worth a visit as are most of the small villages along the coast. The West coast has some lovely beaches and vistas as well. Inland there are interesting towns at Monchique and Silves. Winter temperatures range from warm to cool, but can be chilly if the North wind blows.  Some days are nice enough for shorts and tee shirt, others need a sweater as well.
