Brilliant 10 day holiday

Just had a great holiday. This was our second year that we had here. The site even put myself and daughter on the same pitches we had last year. Made us feel we were coming home. The pitches are quite big, the toilet block was just at the end of our location, which also housesd the chemical toilet disposal point. The swimming pools were ideal for cooling off. Some people have complained about the bar and waiter service, but this year we found the service better. The site is ideal for going to Barcelona and Salou. We had an interesting day out visiting Monseratt. Quite an educational day.

Best 17 days ever

Just spent 17 nights here in my touring caravan and had the best holiday I've ever had. Pitches were a good size easy to menover van on. Toilet blocks spotless and the site in general just perfect. Vilanova itself has really improved since we were here a few years ago and we spent a lot more days down the beach. My only gripe of the holiday would be the bar and restaurant. Staff seemed miserable and service was very slow. We were queuing sometimes for over 15 mins just for a drink and in the end resorted to taking our own drinks up to the entertainment in the last week. Apart from that staff were perfect. We are just in the process of booking to go back next year as we are so gutted to be home.

Five nights at Villanova Park

We wanted to visit Barcelona and this site combined easy access - regular air-conditioned bus , with all the facilities we needed.  The pitch we were given was large and had some shade. We had an accident with our levellers - leaving the van immobile and the step beyond use. The staff were wonderful - they worked in severe heat and with good humour and persistence to get us moving and gave directions to local caravan equipment store to purchase new levellers. Our Spanish is poor but we had tremendous understanding and help particularly from reception staff. The site is very big so we used bikes to get around to shop, bar, pool etc.  We were not with children but there is no doubt that all the families we met were having a great time!  Lovely pool and good bar - food was adequate - great pizzas.  Thank you to all those who helped us.

Good for families with young kids

A large site with a mixture of tents, caravans and chalets. We were sited in a quiet area adjacent to the permanent safari tents with a balance of sun and shade. The site has everything for a family holiday, most of which we didn't take advantage of as they were so busy - swimming pools, tennis courts, bars. It was not clear how to dispose of chemical toilet waste or waste water, but I was able to set up the serviced water supply to our caravan. We took advantage of the direct bus from the camp site to Barcelona - it was not very expensive - which drops you in the City Centre. Also the bus from the camp site to the town gets you to the beach. If you are looking for off site restaurants and shops, then I recommend going to Sitges. Would we go there again? Probably not - but thats becasue what is on offer at Villanova is different to our needs.

A great site if you have kids

Overall this is an excellent site with good facilities. I would say it is geared more for families as there is lots for the kids to do including organised sports and water activities and my 2 children (8 and 11) would probably say best site they have ever been to. The toilet blocks were cleaned constantly throughout the day and to a high standard. On a slightly negative note the site was noisy and had groups of teenagers rocking about until 2 and 3am. The restaurant was poor and the service was appalling, however, the supermarket was well stocked and of reasonable value.

Hostile staff

I firstly have to say a very popular site for the Spanish . Who they seem to welcome with open arms, but what about the rest of us. The reception staff helpful. The restaurant staff dame right rude, and not just one of them. We had a meal food overal good, ordered a pint of beer and a Malabo for my wife. I then ordered another same again, after 15 minutes the waiter comes up with one pint of beer and no Malabo, I asked him where my wife's drink was,he promptly picked up my wife's drink and shock it about . I said she hasn't finished yet could you get me another please. He left without saying a word, appeared 15 minutes later slammed it on the table and never said a word. Is it because I'm English? Even the nice Spanish people I was sharing my table with could not believe it. Disgraceful behaviour, I will be complaining in the morning and will not be returning.

Good Site But A Few Negatives

This is a good site with good sized pitches and facilities. The negatives being expensive wifi, poor restaurant service and confusing signposting to the supermarket. The previous site we stayed at was 7 euros for 3 days, here it was 9 euros for 10 "hours"! Upon arrival we wanted to eat in the restaurant to save cooking. We were sat inside to take advantage of the air-con, but, then had to go to the bar to get someone to bring the menus, then go to the bar to get someone to take our order, then go to the bar to get someone to bring us the bill. We were going to have another drink but gave up because of the poor service. As for the signage to the supermarket. We found this most confusing and ended up wandering all the way around the pool, passing the steps that lead to the door as the signs didn't say to go up there. Apart from that everything was fine. Excellent facilities which are clean and well maintained and a lovely swimming pool.

Excellent Site

We stayed here for 2 nights 2 years ago on our way to Southern Spain. It is as good as we remembered. Excellent pitches, excellent sanitary facilities, excellent shop and restaurant. This time round we used the pool and yes that is also excellent. The cherry on the cake is that you can get a bus at the front gate to Barcelona.

Very Good

We booked for 4 nights and stayed 5 this was in June we had a good size pitch okay the was shade but the sun did come through. The busses can be picked up at the sites entrance to either Vilanova or Barcelona at Euro 5 each way to Barcelona there is also a train from Villanova but not sure of the cost overall we had a very good stay

OK but not the best

Stayed for 3 weeks in January. The site has good facilities (especially the restaurant) and was spotless, the staff are very good as well. Now for the not so good, the pitches are too small and are shaded meaning in January it's cold. There is a sawmill adjacent to the site with the appropriate noise. The surrounding towns are scruffy away from the seafronts. Not a good choice for the winter you need to go further south
