Carnival

This story happened on: 16/11/2014

The famous Somerset Carnival season which brightens up dark November nights has just come to an end for this year.

Many visitors travel from far away to see these spectacular shows which start in Bridgwater early November and finish in Glastonbury two weeks later. The wonderful illuminated floats, often enhanced by moving parts and feats of engineering are quite something to see.

I was lucky enough to get a good view of the Wells carnival thanks to the CC Avon Centre running a rally in the town. So a few minutes stroll led to the carnival plus sightseeing in the ancient town of Wells itself.
