All is not spoilt

This story happened on: 03/07/2012

We are new to caravaning, so after a few short breaks we looked forward to a longer trek from South Wales to the Isle of Wight. we decided to break the journey with a one night stay at Morn hill site near Chihester. After an eventfull trip we finally arrived on site, lokking forward to a restfull evening.

Alas this was not meant to be..After several attempts to unhook the caravan ,we had to give in and seek help from the warden. He was only too willing to help, but come what may we just couldn't get the jockey wheel to raise the van off the towball..At this point my wife and I believed our holiday was over before we started.Lo and behold our warden was Mr  muscles and physically lifted the hich off the tow ball!!!!

He then carried out a check on jockey wheel only to find it was broken( purchased two weeks before departure ) We started to panic as it was now getting on for 6pm on a Saturday night, where were we going to get a new jockey wheel before sailing the following morning?

Yet again the warden cme to our rescue by recommending a mobile caravan repairer.Who arrived within an hour and sorted our problem..

We then enjoyed a 13 night stay on the I.O.W

We see this as proof that being a member of the caravan club saved our holiday....

many thanks to the warden at Mott Hill, we will definately return for a longer stay and fully rcommend the site and staff to all

Thats a nice tale, we did the IOW earlier this year and it really is a nice place. Wardens, or at least the vast majority of them are great and do a wonderful job often under difficult circumstances.
