Retired at last - Time to relax

This story happened on: 28/08/2012

We bought a Motorhome in May and as I worked away and found it was difficult to get out at the weekends, hence, we ended up doing two small trips within 25 miles of home. These were basically to to understand and find out the intimate workings of the MH (a Knaus Sun TI 650MF) We managed well and was not too surprised on how much help people were willing to offer on our maiden trip, especially getting the gas to work. There was no mention in the book of the small safety valve that closes the system down if you leave teh valve in the on position. Plus the book also had the cooker valves in a different location in the van. The second weekend was 2 nights at Woodhall Spa on the wettest weekend of the year, the rain was torrential Saturday night, this did not dampen our spirits and the dogs just loved it. The site was amazing, clean, close to town.  Last week we spent most of the week at Bill Fens Marina, quiet and tranquil the spot was ideal. Toilet block needed a lot of TLC but that apart from that we just enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. Now looking forward to getting around UK for the rest of the summer, autumn, winter(a little) then off to Europe hopefully in the new year. Its a new beginning and we are loving it!

It's such a fantastic way to travel and explore new places isn't it. I'm looking forward to hearing more on your travels. Smile
