our first caravan holiday

This story happened on: 19/05/2012

We bought our fleetwood garland caravan cheap off ebay. Decided to try it out and set off with excitement. We pitched our caravan and was quiet pleased the way we had parked the van. Next the awning we looked at it for some time trying to sort out where all the poles went. We didnt do very well we had a pole over and the awning seemed to standing and thought we could do no more and decided to peg it down only to find we had left the pegs in the garage. Never mind we buy some from the site shop. we then found we had left our money at home too, Plastic cards come in very handy. so we finaly got the pegs but there was another problem we had also left the hammer at home. We found a large rock and used that so Awning was up time for a cup of tea . Whoops no kettle so after a trip to the nearest town we finaly got our cup of tea. Our daughter came down to see us the next day and showed us where we went wrong with tent poles. but we take great pride in the fact we got the awning up with a pole over. We have had many good holidays since but we do have a check list before we start off.
