Wheel coming off my Bailey unicorn caravan

This story happened on: 18/07/2021

When we were leaving our seasonal pitch to go to the New Forest in May we hit a rut in the road which  knocked the motor mover onto the wheel, so I had to jack the van up remove the wheel so I could access the bracket to the motor mover to slide it back in place, l put back on forked it back up we then traveled over 100 miles to Black Knoll site we stayed for a week.

Before leaving I checked the torc of the wheel nuts then traveled the same distance back to the seasonal pitch.

The following July we went to Dale Acres in Kent which is about 55 miles stayed for a week but on the way back as we were approaching Hastings our near side wheel the same one as I had previously removed came off all 5 wheel nuts came off and were found within 10 yards of the van where we came to a stand still after putting the spare wheel on and getting back to site we found out that Bailey Caravans had a problem with wheels coming off on 2011 models but had rectified it by recalling and changing the wheel nuts.

My issue is that it was the first I new and when you have the wheel removed for what ever reason there is no notification to that this problem could possibly happen again and to put this out there as a warning to other owners that this could happen to them.
