What cover against Covid-19 does this insurance provide?
Policies purchased prior to 18th March 2020
If you purchased a policy prior to 18th March 2020 there are no specific exclusions linked to Coronavirus. You will have cover under The Medical Emergency and Repatriation Expenses section of the policy with regards to claims arising from or related to Coronavirus (Covid-19 or any strain thereof) whilst on your trip.
In addition to this the Cancellation benefit will apply should you be diagnosed with Covid-19 prior to travel. You will need to contact your doctor for confirmation that you do have Coronavirus (COVID-19 or any strain thereof), if that has not already been diagnosed. Provide your doctor with details of your travel plans and ask for written confirmation that you should not travel. If your doctor confirms you should not travel, contact your travel/accommodation provider to cancel the trip. If you have any costs you are unable to recover, contact our claims team on 0208 865 3122
There is no cover related to Coronavirus (Covid-19 or any strain thereof) in any other section of cover.
Medical Emergency and Repatriation Expenses are not applicable to Motoring Only policies

If you purchased a policy on or after 18th March 2020 you will have cover under The Medical Emergency and Repatriation Expenses section of the policy with regards to claims arising from or related to Coronavirus (Covid-19 or any strain thereof) whilst on your trip.
There is no cover related to Coronavirus (Covid-19 or any strain thereof) in any other section of cover including cancellation.
Medical Emergency and Repatriation Expenses are not applicable to Motoring Only policies.
