VAT reductions on campsites

What happened to the VAT saving on UK Club campsite bookings?

Despite suffering losses of £10 million in 2020 due to Covid, the Club helped members stay for less by passing on fully the Government’s VAT reduction since it was first introduced in July 2020. By reducing the price you paid when staying at our UK Club campsites, we’ve helped members save over £12.5 million.

From 1 April 2022, the VAT rate will revert back up to the pre-Covid level of 20%. As a result, the VAT price reductions we have passed on to members have come to an end.

UK campsites

I need to self-isolate, can I stay on a Club site?

In order to minimise the risk of virus transmission to other members, you will not be able to stay on Club sites if you are required to self-isolate. If returning from abroad, please follow Government advice and travel directly to the location where you will be self-isolating.

I'm coming back from overseas and need to self-isolate, can I put my outfit back into storage?

You are welcome to return your outfit to a pre-booked storage facility on return from abroad. However, you will not be permitted to self-isolate on our campsites.

Can I use a toilet or shower tent on my pitch?

All shared facilities on our campsites are now open for use by all campers. Please check on the individual Club campsite page that will advise of any maintenance issues that may affect shared facilities.

Can we invite visitors on sites?

We are pleased to advise that day visitors are once again welcome on our UK Club campsites.

Storage. Can I access my outfit?

Please contact the campsite directly to make an appointment, preferably at least 24 hours before you plan to visit the site.

Can I bring a maintenance person to site to look over and check the van?

Yes. It would be helpful if you can contact the campsite directly to let them know.

What happens if you have a suspected or confirmed Coronavirus case on the campsite?

If there is a suspected or confirmed Covid-19 case on our campsites, the individual will have been asked to leave the site and advised to follow Government advice.
