Great site

Hafodty Farm
A beautiful site with great views that we will return to. Previous reports about the waste disposal facilities are grossly exaggerated. From the furthest pitch in the area without sheep to the field gate is around 50 meters. Beyond the gate to the disposal point is about twenty five meters, yes there are a few friendly sheep but not a problem. Could I suggest that before booking that ‘working farm’ is a clue as to what you may find.

Great view

Hafodty Farm
Great view from this working farm. Pitches are large and have a light slope. Access is via a tiny lane so care is needed. The toilet emptying facility is too far away and through a field filled with Sheep. Owner was unsure of the bus timetables on enquiry and eventually discovered there was no service on a Sunday. Nice walk down the hill to colwyn bay.

Fantastic views, but spoilt by the toilet emptying facilities.

Hafodty Farm
The site is on a sloping field with fantastic views across to Little and Great Orme and the sea. It is situated on a working farm. Care is needed on the approach as the track is narrow and very narrow in places. We have stayed on working farms before, but we have never had to walk 100 metres across a field strewn with fresh sheep dung to get to the toilet emptying point. Once there you have to go back and forth a further 10 metres, across further dung, to get to the water tap. Despite taking care with hygiene, I came down with a stomach bug on the second day which took a week to shift. We won't be going again.

Massive hill up but well worth the views.. we walked back down into colwyn bay then round to Ross on Sea taking the back road via Orhcure..one hell off a walk back up defo won't rush to do it again but the views from the top are beautiful..absolutely ideal for proper walkers. There’s a reason we keep coming back!

Hafodty Farm
Recent site reviews sum up this place so well.. we love it here… enough to keep returning! The journey up the hill is easier in ignoring signs going off to the zoo and keep going until St Andrews avenue - we’ve made the mistake before following sat nav. And yes the last part of the lane is tight and uneven but when you get the views you do then it’s all worth it!! Being able wake up overlooking Great Orme, Little Orme, Colwyn Bay, Anglesey is just amazing! Hearing animals from the zoo nearby is unique! The cost to stay is fantastic - one owner NOT looking to keep putting prices up which we are increasingly seeing! Do come here - but on the other side please don’t as we don’t want it to be booked up lol when we try!
