Ideally located just 2 miles east of Brighton, nestled within a fold of the South Downs and just a short distance inland from the Marina, the picturesque East Sussex campsite offers easy access to the many attractions of this popular town. Buses are regular and for rail enthusiasts the historic Volks Railway which runs along the prom will be a treat.

Brighton is a classic and lively British seafront town, filled with all the attractions you would expect from a famous coastal resort. The shopping is excellent with many unusual boutiques and antique shops to browse in. The town also has an operational pier, complete with amusement arcades and some of the finest fish and chips on the south coast, and is home to the Royal Pavillion. The site is also well placed for visiting the historic town of Lewes, or the beautiful Arundel Castle and Gardens in nearby West Sussex. With plenty to see and do locally and extensive recreational grounds adjacent to the caravan park, you're sure to have a holiday here that will be hard to forget.

Lovely site but have standards slipped

Brighton Club Campsite
This was our first visit to Brighton club site and apart from the weather it ticked all the boxes. Wardens were pleasant and helpful and facilities were clean and well prepared. The location is very good with a short walk to the beach/marina and good access to a wonderful bus service that can take you everywhere and frequently ,we went to Eastbourne. What wasn't quite right was the presence of a works van marked up as some form of roofing company together with an accompanied pick up truck that went missing all day and appeared each evening. The distasteful nature was a pile of rubbish that was unloaded from the vehicles at the back of the double wheel based caravan. The pile got bigger during the days we were there and was at one point were birds were picking at its contents. It would be inaccurate to say staff were unaware of it.Clearly not holiday makers .I had to look up the fact that the club had changed the rule about marked up works van but there we have it.Club site fees are not the cheapest and I know things like this did upset others on this site when we were there.

Our favourite club site yet.

Brighton Club Campsite
Stayed here for 2 weeks in Jan. This is one of the club sites that has had a refurb and it looks fab. First thing we want to say about our stay here is how hard the wardens work they were always on the go and its thanks to them that this site remains looking so great. Second thing we were most impressed with was the size of pitches, for a change on a caravan club site we weren't crammed in and there was plenty of room for our twin axle caravan car and an awning (although we didnt use ours this stay). We liked the site so much that we extended our 1 week stay to 2 weeks. We have a dog and although the onsite dog walk is practically non existent (it's a tiny patch of grass hidden behind the play area), this really didn't matter on this occasion as the site is in the middle of a park and walks up on the hills surrounding it. We enjoyed many walks - around the marina (although free parking if you chose to drive there), to Brighton, Rottingdean and just discovering the multitude of footpaths around the area, so for us it was a great site to be with a dog. Also supermarket very close. Don't let the approach down the steep hill past lots of traveller caravans put you off, this is a great site with great wardens in a great location. Thanks Brighton!

My "go-to" all year round place to stay

Brighton Club Campsite
I stayed at this Club site, in a small campervan, for 4 nights in mid-November and I recommend it highly. The staff’s demeanour and friendliness spoke to me of them enjoying their work there and wanting to welcome you to share the place too. The site nestles in a dip between the hills and when its windy on the tops or on the coast you are sheltered. Within a 15-minute walk there are at least 3 bus stops with different routes and destinations: • The Marina. • Kemptown, Brighton City Centre, and Station. • East to Eastbourne passing through Seaford for Cuckmere Haven and the Seven Sisters. • West to Worthing. On the bike its only 10 minutes to the varied and independent Kemptown shops and watering holes. I loved the small independent bakery for warm fresh bread at 7:00 am! For “cold water” heroes the sea at Brighton seems less prone to sewage and pollution than other places and there’s the newly opened “Sea Lanes” between the Marina and Brighton Pier where you can swim in a heated open-air pool. The beautiful Seaford Lido is open weekend mornings Buses to Eastbourne are frequent giving you options to walk across the Seven Sisters or down to Cuckmere Haven. Or you could wander the Laines and take in the entertainments in Brighton centre. There are frequent trains to London taking roughly an hour and with a Senior Railcard and Freedom Pass the journey cost me £12.50 return. This accessible and sheltered Brighton Club Site provided the amenities and comforts you expect and to have such fun, in the middle of November, makes it my “go to” all year-round place to stay.

November stay

Brighton Club Campsite
4 nights Mon to Fri in late Nov with a motorhome. We chose a spacious pitch away from the football ground and had a nice view. The site was quiet on arrival but filled up by Fri. Plenty to do without driving anywhere. Supermarkets within walking distance. Arrival day explored marina area. 2nd day walked to and from Brighton and visited the Royal Pavilion. 3rd day took the bus to Eastbourne. The 12a to Eastbourne is caught from the local Marine Gate bus stop but the faster limited stop 12x has to be caught from the Paston Place bus stop midway between the site and Brighton. 4th day went for a pleasant circular walk from the site to Rottingdean which is worth visiting and discovered the hidden gem of Kippling Gardens. The Sea Spray take away Café at Rottingdean was good. Didn’t use the bikes but there is a good opportunity to do so on Route 2 and the undercliff coastal path. We treated ourselves to a beef bourguignon and roast vegetable & potato takeaway from Chef Phillipe’s gazebo & trailer at the site entrance and, to set us up for the journey home, coffee and a pastry on the last morning. Both were excellent and freshly made in his trailer. Out of season he is closed on Mon & Tue but open the rest of the time.
