What a great site team!

Gowerton Club Campsite
Just had a week at Gowerton Club Site - a lovely level site, warm spotless bathroom facilities, roomy pitches with lots of space around the site. Our visit was made special, in spite of some very variable weather (perhaps to be expected in March) by how exceptionally well we were looked after by the team on site, in particular Rachel and Mick who went out of their way. Would highly recommend for visiting the Gower peninsular and all the lovely walks and beaches.

Lovely stay in Camarthenshire

Gowerton Club Campsite
A great little site close to Llanelli. As with CAMC sites, the facilities, location and staff made it a pleasure to stay at. Been before, will stay again, thank you!

A very pleasant site

Gowerton Club Campsite
We stayed a week here in August and chose the site because of its position on Gower, an area that we have enjoyed visiting for over thirty years. The site is very pleasant and divided into a number of areas giving it a more intimate feel. We liked the use of two pegs to mark each pitch as it makes it very easy to position the caravan correctly. We selected a pitch in what looked like a quiet area but, once we had set up, discovered that our electricity tower sat in the middle of a break in the hedge allowing people to move from one part of the site to another. Fortunately we were able to position our car to block half of the access, across which our cable lay, and encourage people to use the other half of the gap. We did wonder why the tower was so placed. Having recently stayed at the Pembrey site we weren’t surprised to find that the only waste disposal point was just inside the entrance as we had been told that this is becoming club policy. We understand the idea of saving hundreds of plastic bags a year but wonder if the daily emptying of the bins at the various service points gave the wardens a chance to keep an eye on the whole site. It also gave visitors the opportunity to speak to a warden without making a special journey to reception. We were very pleased to see that the mobile pizzeria that we had bought pizzas from while at Pembrey also visited this site. Once again the pizzas were delicious and certainly saved on cooking. From here we visited the Wildlife and Wetlands reserve just outside Llanelli and Rhosilli, where we enjoyed the walk out to the Coastwatch Station. During our final night the rain didn’t stop all night and in the morning our car was sitting in a puddle and there was a large puddle lapping at the legs of our steps. We were very impressed that the wardens came round to every caravan enquiring if people were all right and offering assistance to get us off the pitch if our wheels started spinning. Many thanks.
