Pandy Campsite REOPENED on 14 August 2023 following extensive redevelopments including:

  • Fully refurbished facilities block featuring level access, dishwashing facilities, laundry. The block has an accessible shower room and toilet and an inclusive bathroom
  • The addition of 9 serviced pitches and some additional hardstanding pitches
  • New MVWP and service points
  • A dog and bike wash facility plus bike maintenance stand
  • The site has a dedicated 22kW electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the car park (fee applicable)

Following your feedback, we’re also trialling a number of new aspects:

  • Re-naming Family bathrooms to Inclusive bathrooms
  • New signage within the facility block to make it clearer what's behind the door
  • New "look and feel" interior designs with some great member photography on display

The natural landscape of this location means you'll be surrounded by nature at its finest. Pandy Club Campsite itself is a level, luscious green site, scattered with impressive mature trees, located at the western boundary of the River Honddu. Visitors to the park are treated to the majestic Skirrid, which greets all early risers with its imposing presence. Abergavenny is a treat for all newcomers with its ancient castle being a particular highlight and a food festival that takes place in September. The site is also well placed for visiting the county town of Hereford on the River Wye, with its beautiful cathedral and range of shops and places to eat.

Walks, whether guided or unguided (the Bannau Brycheiniog/Brecon Beacons National Park produces a useful list) prove rewarding as there are no less than seven pubs within 2 miles of the caravan site with the nearest a mere 50 yards stroll away. The area is also noted for fine dining, including a Michelin Star restaurant.

Historical buildings characterise the area, which speak of the unsettled and sometimes battle-torn history of the borders. Magnificent views can be found at the Symonds Yat Rock with breathtaking sights over the lazy River Wye. The site is situated 0.5 miles from the Offas Dyke path and 10 miles from Blaenavon World Heritage Centre.

Great Wardens but over priced

Pandy Club Campsite
Recently returned from the Pandy site having stopped over the Easter weekend. Can't fault the wardens but the club has hiked the price on this site due to a recent refurb costing £40 a night at peak time. The site is small which isn't a problem but most of the pitches with awnings are not big enough to take an awning and a car ,we had to park in the carpark. The club needs to change most of the pitches to non awning. The Recently refurbished shower block now has shower cubicles with not where to sit. No bench or stool provided. Running along the side of the site on an embankment is a train line with trains running 24/7 ,be prepared to be woken up in the early hours. On the plus side there is nice walking around the lanes behind the site and the Pandy Inn right next to the site a nice place to go for food and drink. The club really shouldn't charge the prices they are for this site.

Lovely site

Pandy Club Campsite
Lovely site, immaculately kept especially given the amount of rain we've had. If I could give it 6 stars I would for the wardens alone. Great welcome on arrival, and good to enjoy a laugh after a long day at work and travelling. Yes you can hear the trains but it's not intrusive, I get more noise at home from the road Had a lovely Sunday roast in the pub on the corner, huge portions and its dog friendly. We will definitely be staying again.

First time stay, would recommend

Pandy Club Campsite
First visit to Pandy campsite. Tried to stay here last year but it was shut due to refurbishment. Site and pitches are flat, hardstanding's spacious and tidy although its clear due to the churned up green areas that either the internal roads are too narrow or there had been poor driving of their units by some members. Wardens were very welcoming and helpful, and the facilities were recently refurbished and spotless. Had a lovely meal at the Old Pandy Inn, less than 100 yds from site, also recently re-opened. Had a lovely cycle ride to Llanthony Priory on cycle route 46, where's there is a lovely café. Took the bus to Abergavenny and to Hereford, from stops not far from the Old Pandy Inn, both towns are well worth a visit. Didn't do the place justice by only staying 4 nights, so will have to come back.

Excellent Site

Pandy Club Campsite
Stayed for 12 nights in September. Site had been closed for updating and the result was excellent. The wardens, Bill and Julie, were friendly and obviously take pride in the site. Surrounding area well worth a visit. Will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed our stay

Pandy Club Campsite
The site reopened 2 weeks ago. Bill and Julie were the most welcoming managers we have met this year . The facilities block is the new design, spotlessly clean but find it difficult not having a bench in the shower to sit on when getting dressed The site is peaceful and well kept, occasional train noise but did not spoil the overall tranquility. We took the bus to Abergavenny, a little confused by previous review which said ‘ cash only ‘ we paid by card and the bus had the up to date ‘ tap on tap off ‘ if you wished to use it , drivers friendly and helpful. Sadly 2 of the 3 pubs in walking distance were closed .
