Go Ape and get wild with Tourer Explorer Playweek
The Tourer Explorer Playweek is The Caravan Club’s fun new series of events in support of National Playday, a celebration of children’s right to play.
The Caravan Club has partnered with the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) and Go Ape for the first ever Tourer Explorer Playweek. Families staying on sites offering RSPB and Go Ape activities are being encouraged to get creative and build their own Go Ape inspired activity course construction challenge using natural or recyclable materials found onsite. Families can also pick up an RSPB activity pack and dig out their binoculars to spot the local wildlife.
The Playweek events are open to everyone, and completely free of charge, so pack a picnic and join in with a day of outdoor fun for the whole family. Harvey Alexander, Director of Marketing at The Caravan Club says, “The Club are proud to be involved in this great event which is all about encouraging children to leave their electronic devices at home, get outside and play with other children. Join us on site to celebrate children’s’ right to play”.
The Caravan Club’s Tourer Explorer programme features at 65 Club Sites throughout the UK. All Tourer Explorer sites offer additional activities for children – from treasure trails to art competitions to encourage kids to be nature detectives, wellie wanderers, budding artists, bug collectors and outdoor adventurers – and include a free Tourer Explorer activity booklet for children under 12 years old.
