The National moves to Arley Hall, Northwich
The National is always held in the gardens of a stately home which is one of the main attractions for many attending the event, and Arley Hall is arguably, one of the most interesting and attractive homes in the north west of England.
The site occupies some eight acres and is maintained in the style of a pre-war country house garden covering different areas, each with its own distinctive character. An arboretum, known as The Grove, is set in around seven acres and boasts a pathway a third of a mile long, together with a woodland walk.
The event will cater for approximately 2,000 outfits and 6,000 participants and, as in previous years, will be supported by some significant industry partners, most of whom have been present year after year, which is testament to the success and popularity of the event.
Len Short, Events Manager for The Caravan Club, says, "The National once again promises to provide great value for money with excellent entertainment during the day and evening with something to appeal to everyone. I have heard on many occasions from previous visitors, that an opportunity to stay in the grounds of a stately home and a visit to the house, is a highlight of the caravanning calendar for them."
Live entertainment over four nights is planned, with a new programme appealing to all tastes. The ever popular Caravan Club Concert Band and Club Singers will be returning with a Proms-style night.
Last year, The Club welcomed members and non-Club member day visitors to the event which proved extremely successful and will be doing the same again this year."
Short continues, "This is an opportunity for those living locally to pop in as well as enabling those who haven't been to Arley Hall before, to come and sample what's on offer with all the entertainment, organised events and truly wonderful atmosphere. The Club is confident that once they have a taster, visitors will be keen to book for the full weekend next year!"
Special offers will be available to members and details are published on The Caravan Club website.
