Q: How do I apply for the Fuelpecker fuel card? 

A: Visit www.camc.com/fuel-card and follow the instructions. Please note you will require a mobile phone as part of your application and a verification code will be sent to the mobile phone. Please ensure you check all details thoroughly on each page before submitting (in particular mobile phone and email address). Your card will arrive within 7-10 working days. 

Q: My card has arrived, how do I activate my card? 

Watch the ‘How do I activate my discount card’ video. 

  • Step one: Visit www.fuelpecker.com. This should bring up a webpage to log into your Fuelpecker account; if you do not see a webpage that enables you to login you will need to clear your internet history/cache. Please note you will need to use the email address/mobile number and password you created during your Fuelpecker application to access your Fuelpecker account. 

  • Step two: This will bring up your ‘profile page’ and on the left there is a list of options. Please click ‘Activate my Discount Card’. 

  • Step three: This will bring up a digital picture of a card. Please enter the long card number on the front of your card into the white space and click ‘Apply’. 

  • Step four: Check the card details are correct and click ‘Activate’. 

  • Step five: This will take you back to your ‘profile page’ where your PIN number will now be showing.

You can now start saving! Fill up at an Esso station and pay for your fuel using your Fuelpecker card. Payment for all fuel purchases is taken within 72 hours from the debit card you used when registering. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account to avoid a failed payment and the blocking of your fuel card. You will be emailed a receipt from Fuelpecker and you can also view and download all receipts from your Fuelpecker account, watch the ‘How do I download a copy of my receipt’ video.

Q: My card has not arrived? 

A: Once registered online your card should arrive within 7-10 working days. If your card has not arrived after 10 working days please contact Fuelpecker directly by emailing customer.service@fuelpecker.com   

Q: Where can I use my Fuelpecker discount card?

A: You can use the Fuelpecker discount card at all Esso and Shell petrol stations in the UK (non-motorway and motorway). The Fuelpecker discount card can also be used in selected European countries at selected Esso, Shell and Avia stations, for full details and savings log into your Fuelpecker account and click ‘Discounts’, choose your country to review.

Q: Can I use my Fuelpecker discount card abroad (Europe)? 

A: You can use the Fuelpecker discount card in Europe. Visit the Fuelpecker website for the list of countries and discounts available. Please note Esso Express stations excluded.  

Q: Can I make other purchases (i.e. food and drink) with my Fuelpecker fuel card?

A: The Fuelpecker discount card can only be used for fuel purchases. If you wish to buy additional products or services please use an alternative payment method. 

Q: Can I register for a Fuelpecker discount card via the telephone?

A: Fuelpecker cannot register members via the telephone. To register members will need to visit https://fuelpecker.com/?refcode=CAMC-FUEL-GB and provide their membership number. 

Q: How do I register more than one vehicle / card?

A: You can apply for one Fuelpecker discount card per household, however the card can be used for ALL vehicles within the household.

Q: What if both my partner and I need a Fuelpecker fuel card?

A: You can register for an additional Fuelpecker fuel card however this will require different membership account details (mobile number, email address and bank details).

Q: What fuel can I save on?

A: You can save on premium diesel, premium unleaded, standard diesel and standard unleaded fuel.

Q: What is the saving?

A: The Fuelpecker discount card guarantees you will save the following at all Esso petrol stations: 

  • Standard unleaded - save 3p at non-motorway stations and 5p at motorway stations

  • Standard diesel - save 4p at non-motorway stations and 6p at motorway stations 

  • Premium unleaded - save 5p at non-motorway stations and 7p at motorway stations  

  • Premium diesel - save 6p at non-motorway stations and 8p at motorway stations

The Fuelpecker discount card guarantees you will save 1p at all Shell petrol stations. 

The Fuelpecker discount card can also be used in selected European countries at selected Esso, Shell and Avia stations - for full details and savings log into your Fuelpecker account and click ‘Discounts’ and choose the country to review.  

Q: My receipt reflects the pump price rather than the discounted rate? 

A: You will be provided with a receipt from the petrol station showing the amount of fuel you have purchased as well as the pump price. Once Fuelpecker receives this transaction from the petrol station they will charge your registered payment method at the discounted rate. Once this charge has been processed you will receive a VAT receipt via email, you can also download a copy of the receipt when logged into your Fuelpecker account. Q: I forgot to use my Fuelpecker discount card, can I claim back the discount?

A: The discounted rate only applies on fuel purchased with the Fuelpecker discount card at the point of purchase. If you use another card to pay for your fuel you cannot claim back the discount amount from Fuelpecker. 

 Q: I have forgotten the pin number for my Fuelpecker discount card?

  • Step one: Visit www.fuelpecker.com. This should bring up a webpage to log into your Fuelpecker account; if you do not see a webpage that enables you to login you will need to clear your internet history/cache. Please note you will need to use the email address/mobile number and password you created during your Fuel Pecker application to access your Fuelpecker account. 

  • Step two: This will bring up your ‘profile page’ where your PIN number is stored. 

Q: Why can’t I change my PIN number?

A: Each pin number is unique to each individual account, changing the pin may lead to duplication, so to keep your account information safe this is not allowed.

Q: I have lost the Fuelpecker discount card / Fuel Pecker discount card has been stolen? 

A: Please notify Fuelpecker immediately and they will cancel your current card and will issue a new card. Email customer.service@fuelpecker.com   

Q: Why are my bank details required when registering for an account?

A: Fuelpecker discount card requires valid bank card details as part of the registration process in order to issue your discount card. Once you have your Fuelpecker discount card you pay for fuel using this card and the balance will be automatically taken from the valid bank card you used to register. Payment for all fuel purchases is taken within 72 hours from the bank card you registered. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account to avoid a failed payment and the blocking of your Fuelpecker discount card.

Q: How do I change my bank details?

  • Step one: Visit www.fuelpecker.com. This should bring up a webpage to log into your Fuelpecker account; if you do not see a webpage that enables you to login you will need to clear your internet history/cache. Please note you will need to use the email address/mobile number and password you created during your Fuelpecker discount card application to access your Fuelpecker account. 

  • Step two: This will bring up your ‘profile page’ and on the left there is a list of options. Please click ‘Stored cards’. 

  • Step three: This will list your registered bank card, click ‘update’. 

  • Step four: Read the instructions and click ‘update’. 

  • Step five: Fill in the form with your new bank card details and click ‘Validate card’ 

  • Step six: This will bring you back to your ‘profile page’, click ‘Save’.  

Q: Where are my bank details stored / Are my bank details secure? 

A: Fuelpecker doesn't store any payment details. Your payment details are stored by one of the world's leading payment processors, Adyen. Adyen is fully PCI DSS 3.2 compliant as a Level 1 Service Provider, which is the key security standard within the payments industry.

Q: Are there any fees?

A: There is no sign up fee, no transaction fee, no processing fee and no minimum spend. 

Q: When do you charge me for the fuel I purchase?

A: Payment for all fuel purchases is taken within 72 hours from the bank card you registered. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account to avoid a failed payment and the blocking of your fuel card.

Q: How do I delete/unsubscribe from Fuelpecker? 

  • Step one: Visit www.fuelpecker.com. This should bring up a webpage to log into your Fuelpecker account; if you do not see a webpage that enables you to login you will need to clear your internet history/cache.  Please note you will need to use the email address/mobile number and password you created during your Fuelpecker application to access your Fuelpecker account. 

  • Step two: This will bring up your ‘profile page’ and on the left, there is a list of options. Please click ‘Cancel my account’. 

  • Step three: Read the instructions and click ‘Cancel account’ - please note once an account has been cancelled a new account cannot be created using the same personal details. 

Q: Can I collect Nectar points when using the Fuelpecker discount card? 

A: Yes, you can collect Nectar points when you purchase petrol or diesel at participating Esso-branded service stations. Visit www.esso.co.uk/loyalty-program-nectarfor more details.  

Q: Can I collect Tesco Clubcard points when using the Fuelpecker discount card? 

A: The partnership between Esso and Tesco Clubcard finished at the end of May 2019 and a new partnership was formed with Nectar. You can still collect Tesco Clubcard points at Tesco Express Esso stations. 

Q: Who are Fuelpecker?

A: Fuelpecker is operated and managed by Horizon Fuel Limited and is the largest provider of consumer fuel discount cards in Europe. The Fuelpecker team is made up of a group of dynamic individuals each with a wealth of knowledge in the tech and fuel industry. Fuelpecker is partnered with Esso who are one of the largest and most reputable European fuel suppliers and is a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil who are a global leader in the fuel industry. Adyen is a global payment processor and serves a number of the top digital companies including Spotify, Uber, Microsoft, Ebay and is the sole secure payment processor for the Fuelpecker platform.

Q: Why has the Club teamed up with Fuelpecker? 

A: Esso has the largest network of petrol stations in the UK with just over 1,200 locations and by using the Fuelpecker discount card members will receive a guaranteed saving on fuel at every Esso station. The Club has conducted proper due diligence around GDPR and compliance. Fuelpecker also provides discount cards to other closed membership groups including: Blue Light Group (emergency services), Discounts for Teachers and Health Service Discounts (previously NHS discounts), amongst many others. 

Q: Am I registering for the Fuelpecker discount card through the Club or a third party?

A: If you register for a Fuelpecker discount card via www.fuelpecker.com you are registering your details with Fuelpecker and not with the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Q: I used to have a Pump-King fuel card and cancelled my account, can I register for a Fuelpecker discount card? 

A: Yes, visit www.camc.com/fuel-card and follow the instructions. Please note you will require a mobile phone as part of your application and a verification code will be sent to the mobile phone. Please ensure you check all details thoroughly on each page before submitting (in particular mobile phone and email address). Your card will arrive within 28 working days.
