Why stay here ...

This attractive, beautifully kept site is set amid lush greenery in the grounds of a former water mill. The facilities are first class, with a superb restaurant and bar, spacious pitches and a lovely, well-stocked fishing lake.

The site staff work hard to ensure guests are comfortable, and nothing is too much trouble. Despite being popular with young families, the general ambience remains relaxed and it’s quiet around the pitches.

Le Moulin du Roch is located between Sarlat-la-Canéda and Les Eyzies, so it’s perfect for visiting the towns and local châteaux. The Grotte du Grand Roc, a marvellous natural cave system, is also worth a visit, as are the various prehistoric sites such as the Grotte de Font de Gaume.

Lovely site in a beautiful location

Perfect for exploring this glorious part of the Dordogne, close to Sarlat and Les Eyzies. Lots of beautiful places to visit and attractions to see. The pitches are of generous sizes, well laid out, well kept and separated by mature hedges and enough trees to provide shade in hot weather. The facilities are excellent and kept spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly efficient and helpful and the overall ambience is generally peaceful. The restaurant provides excellent food at reasonable prices. There is some traffic noise from the busy road which runs alongside. This is not obtrusive at night but does get busy quite early in the morning. A word of caution here - do be careful when entering or exiting the site, the entrance is located on a straight section of road which seems to be a favourite place for overtaking. Be sure to look both ways on exiting and watch out for over takers when turning in. Having said this, I would certainly recommend the site and would unhesitatingly visit again

Great location for touring the Dordogne area

Situated just outside the beautiful town of Sarlat and close to a number of wonderful places of interest, this site is a must if you are visiting the area. Spacious pitches, clean facilities and staff that are very attentive. Add this to the cleanliness of the site, the swimming pool, and the quality of the restaurant, take away, and bar areas and what more could you want? Yes, there is a little road noise but this doesn't impact on the quality of the site. When visiting the Dordogne next time, this will be my site of choice.

Great site

We've stayed here June 2015 and returned in June 2016. Needless to say it's an excellent site, well kept pitches and friendly, helpful staff. The owners live on the site and are involved in the day to day running of the site. The pool area is very good. As usual with Castels sites the restaurant is spot on!

Friendly, Welcoming Site

Warm, friendly welcome from the staff Site restaurant (indoor service) excellent Generally site kept very clean and tidy - shower and toilet facilities especially so Well located for main sites in the area Excellent pool. Young children all appeared very happy We had a fully serviced pitch situated on the lower terrace close to the lake. The pitches were of a good size and well maintained. These pitches are next to a busy road and some members might find this a problem

Another nice stay

Friendly and helpful staff. Large pitches, with super pitches having a hut containing a fridge, microwave, outdoor table and chairs and sun loungers! Nice fishing lake with good size fish, (caught by others!). Good size swimming pools with a separate section for small children. Excellent meal at the restaurant. Also a useful takeaway. Activities mainly started after 1st July and cater for all. Plenty of places to visit near by, but have a visit to Sarlat at night, it very good. WiFi available, ( 19 euro for 7 days) Need to pay tourist tax at the start.
