With tranquil countryside surroundings, this site is a great choice for families who are looking for an active break. Three large lakes offer opportunities for water sports and fishing, while there’s also a pool complex, play areas and organised entertainment.
The landscaped pitches offer plenty of space and are separated by a combination of trees and shrubs, and although the site is busy, it feels safe being away from main roads.
Walking, cycling and water sports are popular pursuits around and about, but those wanting to explore will find Besançon and Montbéliard within driving distance. Besançon has a lovely setting and some excellent examples of Roman architecture, while Montbéliard’s castle and colourful houses merit an exploration.
Black Forest, Vosges Mountains, Belfort, Vesoul, Le Gouffre de Poudrey, La Grotte d’Oselle, Châteaux de Joux, Ronchamp chapel (Le Corbusier), Saline Royale at Arc et Senans (UNESCO), Golf Courses, Canoeing.
10 miles north of Baume Les Dames Leave the A5 to take the A31 until junction 7 SP N19 to Langres. Continue past Vesoul and take the D919 SP Villersexel/Esprels (The D919 changes to D9). Follow this road through Esprels and turn right onto D49 SP “Val De Bonnal”.
