Why stay here ...

A quiet, rural site near Concarneau, Les Prés Verts is run by a very welcoming family who speak good English. Their friendly nature is reflected in the site’s relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, which appeals to couples and younger families.

The spacious, grassy pitches are arranged in small groups and separated by low hedges, with some offering sea views. This being a more traditional site, facilities are limited but clean and modern, and a supermarket and bakery are within walking distance.

A small path leads directly from Les Prés Verts to a small, sandy cove where guests can bathe. There are also lots of coastal cycling paths nearby, and Concarneau can be reached by foot in under an hour. To the north is Quimper, which is worth a visit for its 14th century old town and half-timbered houses.

Ideal for peace and quiet

We stayed here at the beginning of May and right from the first day we loved it. The site is easy to find and access is good, with a security barrier. The owners were lovely and gave us a warm welcome and were so helpful throughout our stay. The shower and toilet blocks are very clean, plenty of hot water with washing up and laundry facilities. Just a five minute walk takes you to a beautiful and safe beach and close by there is a cycle track that takes you into the centre of Concarneau. OK, so the pool wasn’t working but with beach so close, you don’t need it. Pitches are clean and well looked after, take plenty of levelling blocks and a long EHU. The family who own the site are brilliant, very friendly and helpful and keen to help us with our French learning. Would we go again? Most definitely, it’s well worth a visit and as long as you remember that you’re in France (no loo paper or toilet seats) and that the site has no control over the weather or the amount of seaweed on the beach (there really isn’t much) you will have a great time. A very clean and peaceful place to stay, thanks for having us! 😀🏖

Fantastic Welcome, Clean Facilities, Picturesque Beach, Peaceful Stay

We have just returned from a stay at this site and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The site is run by a delightful family who gave us such a warm welcome we were immediately made to feel like old friends. They went out of their way to be helpful and informative and to help us with our learning of the French language and places to visit. The site itself is lovely, access to a beautiful beach is an easy walk and there is an off road cycle path to Concarneau which is easy and enjoyable. The facilities were exceedingly clean, hot water was availiable at all times of the day. The swimming pool was not operational at the time of our stay but this didn’t diminish our enjoyment of the site at all. The pitches are somewhat unlevel so be sure to pack all of your availiable blocks. If, like us, you enjoy peace and quiet, wildlife, the coast and friendly hosts this is the site for you. We will be back next time we are in the area.

We'll be back next year!

We absolutely loved this place. It was everything we could possibly have wished for and more. The family are absolutely delightful and really make the site worth visiting. Apart from the the location is perfect... Right on a cycle path, minutes drive from Concarneau (with which we fell utterly in love), quiet and beautiful. I almost don't want to write a raving review in case it gets too popular! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Lovely site

Bit wary of staying here reading through past reviews but this was my favourite site on our tour of Brittany. The family are very welcoming and friendly, we had a flat pitch with plenty of space around and our electric cable fitted fine without an extension. The toilet block was clean, modern warm showers with a large hook to hang clothes & shelf for toiletries. Need own toilet paper and hand wash though. The pool was clean and warm. Short walk to lovely sandy private beach. Also coastal path runs alongside and easy walk into Corncarneau. Bakery and L'eclerc supermarket also within walking distance of site. Shame the mini golf was overgrown and out of use though. The motorhome facilities were in the overnight area and required monsieur to use his key to access water. Wifi codes provided for all of which we could easily access though sometimes a bit slow. Lovely peaceful and quiet site, would definitely visit again.

Peaceful and quiet, with friendly owners.

Les Pres Verts is a family business and the site owner's mother welcomed us and was very amicable. The family all speak good English too.I did try my best to speak in French though. We had a wonderful conversation in a mixture of French and English, which was interesting! We booked 2 weeks at this site and enjoyed our stay there. When we arrived the heavens opened and it chucked it down, so setting up resulted in us getting pretty soggy. Thankfully the weather improved the next day. We were able to choose from a couple of large pitches, as we have a 26ft caravan. The Monsieur drove me down to the pitch in the downpour from reception in what he called 'my Porsche' golf cart, which was very kind of him. We took plenty of power leads and a French adapter for the hook up, as we have found from travelling around France in the past, that you need to be prepared for a long stretch to some EHU's! In this case only shorter lead was required. Some of the pitches are on a gentle slopes and upon a 'reckie' around the site, all the campers and caravans that I saw appeared to be levelled up with standard ramps etc. There are no adapters to fix a hose on the water taps, but we managed to fill up our Aqua Rolls without much trouble. The site's shower block is very clean and tidy and is cleaned daily. The showers had plenty of hot water too. Some of the site is a little overgrown, but the pitches are mowed regularly and it didn't really matter to us. The swimming pool is lovely and warm and not that busy. The pool area is neat and tidy too. There is a little pool for smaller children, which is super warm and the main pool is no deeper than 1.70m. It is a short walk down to a little beach, which is sandy and clean. It was a bit sea weedy at the time, but there had been some rough weather a day or so before we arrived and a lot of weed had been washed up on the shore. My husband went for a swim to test it out though. From the beach there is a very pleasant coastal walk down to Concarneau. It takes about 40 - 50 mins stroll to get there and there are some lovely views to be seen along the way. There is no bread service on the site, but there is a very good Boulangerie about 1km away. They were selling 4 for the price of 3 baguettes at the time we were there. (we were a party of 5 and the delicious bread didn't last long!) There is a notice board at the exit of the site that gives daily information on what's going on, such as local markets and when the crepe ladies arrive on site to cook sweet and savoury crepes once a week. All in all we had a lovely stay at Les Pres Verts. The owners are friendly and very welcoming. If you want peace and quiet this is a perfect place to pitch up. We would stay there again.
