Why stay here ...

This beautifully kept site is a haven for those looking for peace and quiet and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. You’ll receive a warm welcome at reception and the friendly owners are happy to share their knowledge of the local area.

The site has a spacious feeling, with well-sized pitches that are fairly level. The facilities are modern and there is excellent provision for disabled visitors. The shop, bar and restaurant are open for most of the season, for those who prefer to visit off peak.

There are ample opportunities to cycle in the area, with reasonably flat routes allowing visitors to explore extensively. Mâcon is 45 minutes’ drive and has a pretty riverside location with a medieval cathedral and some interesting houses in its old centre.

Charming vista

Travelling in October gives one quite a different view of a site, this one was on the verge of closing so all the facilities were closed although you could still order bread and the reception were very helpful. Very clean, lovely large pitches that we had the pick of. I expect it must be busy in the summer as it has a lot of static rentals on site. The area is so beautiful - the road of milk - is what its called and you will see why when you arrive, there are cows everywhere - not on the site, but in the field next door and the views - well they were wonderful, and all so green. Great for the dog, a bit hilly, but worth the climbing for 360 vistas. Not much going on in the nearby village, but there is a restaurant and bar on the site. Very clean, even though there were so few of us staying, the facilities seemed almost brand new, great toilets - actual rooms and huge showers, that you could actually swing a cat in - if you had one!!!! We love to walk and this site if perfect for that with lots of defined routes straight out of the gate.

Fantastic Family Site

Stayed here for a week in June 2018 & had a super time. The owners are very friendly & hard working. The playground was great, swimming pools & toilet facilities clean & site well maintained. The pitches at the bottom of the site have far reaching views across fields. We had a pitch at the top of the site next to the play area (so we could keep an eye on our daughter) & we also had amazing views across the valley. Pitches in the middle were mainly private but with little or no views. There was a bit of noise from the club house during the evenings but nothing offensive & it didn't go on too late. I doubt the pitches at the bottom would be able to hear anything other than wildlife, frogs in particular during the evenings. Some small shops are within a 15min walk but main supermarkets are located in Cluny which is a drive of approx. 20mins. Only downside for us was it being fairly rural without a great deal to do in the local area. If you like sunbathing though whilst the kids play in the pool, or sitting back in the chair looking across miles of fields with a nice glass of local pinot noir, this site is a safe bet.

A gem of a site apart from the football club pitched opposite.

We booked this site for the easy access to some wonderful cycling and the peace and quiet. The welcome was warm, helpful and friendly. It's very well signposted from the main road and in a lovely location. Do note though that the reception shuts between twelve and two even in peak season and there is limited space for those, like us queueing to check in. We enjoyed some fantastic cycling. Cluny to Macon 60k return and Cluny to Buxy 70k return. All flattish and traffic free. The pool is lovely, the toilets and showers clean, but stretched in high season as you would expect. There is a dishwashing machine, you are given free tokens but we didn't use this as there was always a queue. What surprised us most was that in the middle of this quiet tranquil site, and opposite us were fifteen ten year olds on three pitches on a football camp. Within a minute of arriving balls were bouncing off our car and van. What a mistake to put them in the middle of the site, surely they would have been better placed at the edge somewhere. We didn't realise how noisy they actually were until they left on the Friday after four nights. Interestingly the people that arrived today on one of the pitches opposite us had to go and request that the hedge was hosed down, you can guess why! Would we come back, yes, yes ,yes, but please not near a group like this.

A little Oasis

Beautifully kept site, lovely and clean. Very friendly owners willing to help and give advice. Pool was amazing, beautifully kept and clean and a good size, will definitely visit again. Beautiful countryside around and views. Only stayed for two nights but would like to go back for more!! I find the onsite restaurants a little lacking in variety and no veg choices, for someone who loves her veggies!! Good butcher in village and bakery, need to go else where for a supermarket.
