Why stay here ...

This attractive site is beautifully located in the pretty village of Mesnois, at the heart of this region of lakes and forests. Just 500m from the site you can enjoy swimming, canoeing and fishing on the River Ain.

The site was developed on the family farm over 30 years ago and now boasts an impressive pool complex, with a particularly good indoor pool and spa complex. The campsite restaurant, Le P'tit Montagnard, offers a mouthwatering range of dishes with the opportunity to try some typical cuisine of the Jura, or soak up the sun with a drink on the terrace!

This is a great choice for nature lovers with miles of superb footpaths or cycle trails leading through the surrounding forests of the Jura, passing stunning waterfalls and shimmering lakes. Back on site, there's a good range of leisure facilities, including tennis, mini-golf and basketball.

Hmmm

Beauregard Mesnois
While the site itself is pleasant enough, some directions to it would have been useful. We found ourselves on a very steep hill just outside Lons le Saunier labelled not for caravans once on it. The toilet/wash blocks leave a lot to be desired. There are no seats on the toilets, there are no proper doors at the entrances to the block and the open ceilings within the block means that you can hear every sound made by anyone else who might be in the block. Whether they are washing their dishes or sitting on the toilet. All the taps are of the push button single temperature type, the water was generally warmish. The water pressure at the standpipes was abysmally low taking some 20 minutes or more to fill an aquaroll. If you are into very basic facilities, then this may be the site for you.
