Why stay here ...

This secluded site is well suited to couples or families looking for a quieter stay. Although there's lots to keep children occupied, including organised games, a pool and games room, the tranquil atmosphere is retained. Adults can enjoy wine and cheese tastings and guided walks. Take a journey into the past with the site's historical tours of the area or join a medieval banquet, or take advantage of the local brocante markets and grab a bargain.

Touring pitches are of a good size and private thanks to the surrounding trees and hedges, while the facilities are kept clean.

The site’s rural location means the main attractions of the area are mostly accessible by car. Joinville has a Renaissance château with extensive, French-style gardens that is a must-see when visiting the area. Grand, 20km away, has a well-preserved Gallo-Roman amphitheatre, while the vineyards of Champagne are around 40 minutes’ drive away.

nice place to stay

We stayed at this site in June on our eight week tour of Europe the site is set in a woodland area in the country side, when coming into the site you need to take a wide swing in to the site as the gate way is a bit tight, if you have a large outfit, on arrival the staff are friendly and welcoming and speck good English the site is owned by a English family all the staff are very polite and helpful, we had seven nights stay and enjoyed the site the indoor pool is lovely and the food is lovey to don't forget to go to the happy hour four till six every day, there is a super market and fuel station near by at Joinville about 15mins drive from the site the pitchers are ok but a bit uneven in some placers, the toilet block and showers are adequate but showers wear a bit tight and need some upgrading, on certain pitchers you have to go up some steps up a bank to go to the toilet block just mind your step as it is bit uneven and there is no hand rail, we only found one washing machine in the toilet block could have done with more overall it a nice site, we would recommend this site and we would go back at some point

No Vineyards here...

Overall a clean and tidy site with very friendly and welcoming staff. We had a very large pitch which was a little too shady for our liking, however this did not spoil our holiday. To say the site is set amongst vineyards is stretching it a little - the nearest one being a 40 minute drive away!! but well worth a visit. It's a good site for children with lots going on for them and it still keeps it's tranquility. The area around it is very rural and you will have to travel quite some distance to visit the attractions of the area.

A good start to our hols

We only stayed here for 1 night on the way to Austria 2 weeks ago. I did google street view so knew about the entrance ( it does require the other side of the road to manoover . We had pitch 12 & it had plenty of room for my 7.5m van. The pool was most welcome & a good start to the hols. The food at the restaurant was good

Not what we expected!

Booked to stay here 2 nights on our way back to Calais from a fantastic site - we only stayed for 1 night and cut our losses. The entrance is a nightmare to get into - we managed it with no damage but another van arriving the same evening damaged the bottom edge of their van as it is a really tight, downhill entrance. We were given a pitch (number 56) that was really small, approached by a hill with no space to manoeuvre (turns out it was really only suitable for tents). Changed to a better pitch with no fuss, but then the toilet and shower facilities left a lot to be desired - they weren't clean and looked tired and in need of 'doing-up'. Staff were polite and friendly but we packed up and made the journey home a day early as we were really disappointed by the site.

Another delightful stay

Having been at this site last year for several nights we returned just for one night in July 16 as a stopover into Switzerland. The site facilities were as impressive as ever - all clean and tidy with a large pitch allocated to us. We used our afternoon to follow a cycle trail provided by the site office and loved exploring the countryside. Our only possible negative comment is we're not sure how much there would be to do in the area with young children once the immediate location and campsite facilities have been explored.
