Why stay here ...

Close to the town of Brezice and within easy reach of the E70 which runs between Ljubljana and Zagreb, this large site is popular for stopovers as well as longer family stays. With a large complex of exciting swimming pools, waterslides and wave machines, it offers a huge range of water-based activities for guests.

The spacious layout provides room for open, grassy pitches, which benefit from some shade from young trees. Guests can relax with a plate of fresh fruit from one of the on-site kiosks or eat at the attractive restaurant serving buffet-style meals.

With plenty of entertainment onsite, children may not want to leave, but venturing out rewards visitors with some spectacular sights. Discover the spectacular castle in nearby Brezice or the Pleterje Monastery situated at the foot of the Gorjanci mountains. There are also caves nearby with impressive rock formations.

Busy Busy Busy

This enormous water park was rammed towel to towel during our August stay but does offer thrilling slides if you can stand the wait and the heat. Touring pitches are offered in two areas - amongst the tented camps with some shade and limited space; or in full sun, neither are particularly appealing but ok for a couple of days enroute to or from Croatia (the border crossing is just 8km away). The bathroom facilities are adequate - just. The on site TIC has a brochure of points of interest in the surrounding area and from this we put together an adhoc tour for the afternoon which had us visiting traditional Slovenian Homesteads, attempting to link arms round a 7m wide tree trunk, travelling the impossibly scenic wine road and stopping in a winery to visit their unique caves and taste some wines. Try the local pumpkin mayonnaise - weird sounding and very tasty.

Terme Catez July 11-17 2015

As an over 60's couple we found the site very extensive, our grandchildren would have loved the site as it had the outdoor waterpark with something for everyone (even us old timers) and also an indoor water park, certain restrictions applied, although they weren't unreasonable. We also enjoyed the site as there many other things to take in, shops, restaurants hotels as well as other accomodations, very much a little town in itself, as there location was quite rural? With regards to the wifi we had to go to reception or very near to it to get a signal. The village of Brezice is quite close and a visit the the museum is worth a visit. If a visit to Zageb is on the cards, dont forget your passport?
