We are planning a phased reopening of our Club Sites from 4 July

Troutbeck Head Club Site in Cumbria

In line with the latest UK Government & Devolved Administration announcements, we will now be opening the majority of our campsites from 4 July in England, 10 July in Scotland and 13 July in Wales. Shared facilities and toilet blocks on campsites in Scotland will be closed until 15 July. Shared facilities and toilet blocks on campsites in Wales will remain closed until further notice and additional guidance is published by the Welsh administration. Waste, water and toilet disposal points will remain open across our sites network.

Our network of Certificated Locations and Affiliated Sites will also be able to open from the same dates, however, our Affiliated Sites and CLs in Northern Ireland can open from 26 June. At this moment we are not able to open all of our Club sites, however, we will constantly review whether we are able to open any more campsites in the future.

All of our campsites that are to reopen will be adapted to the new social distancing and safety requirements set out by the UK government and administrations. Our priority is first and foremost the health and safety of our staff, our members, our guests and the local communities.

Will you be opening early for arrivals on 4 July in England?

In order to help with staggering arrivals on the first day of opening, if you have a booking to arrive on 4 July, a member of our site team will be in contact with you by telephone between 29 Jun to 2 July to arrange advance payment and agree an arrival time and preallocated pitch with you (please do not contact the site directly, they will contact you). We will be agreeing and booking arrival times from 9am and would ask you to please be flexible if your initial choice of arrival time is unavailable.

Will you be opening early for arrivals on 10 July in Scotland?

Why are you not opening all your Club campsites?

Whilst the majority of our campsites will reopen, there are a small number that will remain closed. There are several reasons for this. Sadly, because we were required to close our sites in March we have not been able to carry out our usual induction and training programme for new assistant site managers at the start of the season; we also have some staff who are clinically vulnerable and it is not deemed safe for them or volunteer staff to work at this time, and some campsites on racecourse and other facilities cannot be opened because the landlords’ or owners’ facilities and accesses are closed. We have therefore allocated our teams to the campsites with most occupancy taking the above into account.

When are Affiliated Sites opening?

We have been liaising closely with our Affiliated Sites (AS) partners and have provided them with the Clubs outline plans for reopening our sites. We expect that they will all want to reopen as soon as possible and, as and when they advise us, we will let members and guests know, including those ASs that will remain closed for the foreseeable time. If you are looking to book an AS from 26 June (N.I.), 4 July (England), 10 July (Scotland) or 13 July (Wales) you will need to contact them directly.

When are Certificated Locations (CL) campsites reopening?

We really value the relationship that we have with our CL network. Many of their campsites are small and we know that they will have suffered significantly financially during this difficult time. We work closely with them and know that the majority are very keen to open and welcome back members at the earliest possible time.

If you are looking to book a CL from 26 Jun (N.I.), 4 July (England), 10 July (Scotland) or 13 July (Wales) you will need to contact them directly. Please note that the dates may be subject to change. CLs in Wales is subject to confirmation of dates by their devolved administrations.
