Why stay here ...

LOW 10% refundable deposit plus FREE cancellations and FREE amendments*

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite is due to undergo a full redevelopment. The site is currently closed and is expected to reopen late 2024 (subject to planning permission, therefore exact details and dates are subject to change).

There will be a full redevelopment of this popular spot near the Dorset coast. We will be adding a new cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Plans also include the addition of new hardstanding (including serviced and premium) pitches as well as small campervan and electric tent pitches. A new facilities block will be added, as well as replacement service points, new motor van waste points, electric vehicle charging points and a handy dog and bike wash.

A new Experience Freedom village will be created, featuring glamping pods, glamping cabins (including an accessible option) and safari tents. New cottages will help to make this the perfect site if you want to bring non-touring family and friends along on holiday.

Located in an idyllic setting overlooking an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in West Dorset. Touring facilities are housed in an attractive honeystone barn at the centre of the site. Here you will find a reception, small shop and individual shower rooms. Touring and camping pitches are landscaped to preserve the natural ambience of the estate. Grange Garden's mature planting provides shelter and privacy and tent visitors will love Valley View field's stunning countryside views and amazing sunsets.

Situated just 3 miles from Bridport and West Bay (the gateway to the Jurassic Coast), this historic market town has a vibrant mix of town, sea and country life, hosting festivals, carnivals and events throughout the year. West Bay offers stunning landscapes and breathtaking views from its dramatic coastline. It is the perfect caravan site in Dorset from which to explore west towards Charmouth and Lyme Regis, and east to Dorchester and Weymouth. You will certainly find plenty of things to do in Bridport with fishing trips, leisure centres, golf and cycling, and not forgetting the miles of wonderful walking routes that will allow you to take in the beautiful scenery. You just need to decide what to do first!

This is a lovely quiet site, easy access and well laid out. The facilities were spotless and the wardens were friendly and really helpful. We will definately visit again

Excellent site

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite
Our second visit, we like this site for the easy access to the coast and nice towns to visit - Bridport, Lyme Regis, Weymouth etc. Hive beach and cafe are highly recommended. The pitches are a good size and well laid out. We haven't had problems with other pitches, but this time we were on what looked like a recently refurbished hardstanding pitch covered with a sort of pea gravel. I found it impossible to get screw pegs to take but smooth rock pegs were OK with some effort. Quite a few had to be re-pegged over the week and they pulled out. It was very calm while we were there, I wouldn't have been so confident with the awning had it been windy. The pitches with hedges around them are lovely and a good size, so choose carefully if you can. We were allocated a pitch on arrrival, which didn't seem necessary due to the number of empty pitches, but I suppose it gets outfits onto their pitch quicker, especially as it's not a site you can easily tour round with your caravan in tow. The dog walk is the best of any site we have been on, and the easy walks direct from the site are excellent. The walk across fields and down the lane to Bridport is easy and a pleasant alternative to driving. The site is beautifully maintained, the hedges and trees must be a full time job1 We'll definitely be returning.

A well managed Gem of a Site with unfulfilled potential

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite
First visit to this site. 3 Adults. A Charming site just outside Bridport, well placed for local area touring and a good range of supermarkets just a mile or two down the road. The site is very pretty and has exquisitely trimmed low hedges dividing well proportioned pitch areas and roadways. [I trust wardens are paid extra for this detailed work! It is not 'just' like sitting on a mower and cutting the grass - and so much more intricate manouevring for them to even do that here!] The wardens are friendly, helpful and welcoming. They couldn't do more to help. They even offer a choice of pitches - based on the unit length. That was extremely thoughtful pitch management. The site, as I began, is pretty with lovely views and some gorgeous sunsets. The facilities building appears to have been developed in phases but even the newer section is in serious need of an upgrade. I see previous reviews about an upgrade being "scheduled" but feel that to release the potential of this well placed site, that work needs to happen urgently. There is what appears to be an unused 'stable' building which could be the ideal way to get the showers and toilets upgraded and extended in number without closing the site. C'mon Finance Team.... invest in this little gem, like sooooon.

Location, location, location

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite

Stayed here on our way down to Devon to break up the travelling for the kids. Whilst this site is excellently located for visiting the local area, it’s very tightly packed in and you need either a motor mover or advanced driver’s license to back your caravan into these narrow pitches whilst avoiding the concrete water bollard. We and several other members has to do a 90 degree manoeuvre to get our outfit onto the plots, and the roadways between are also tiny, made me sweat I can tell you !! You also don’t get the chance to choose your pitch it’s already allocated when you arrive so you too can end up doing the caravan shuffle ! The narrow pitches mean next doors kids sound like their running in your caravan which our kids found extremely annoying whilst trying to sleep. The 10amp power supply is also a pain on this site, we are in 2022 so we can’t see why this hasn’t been upgraded, get used to running out to the board to reset the breaker. The facilities are basic but clean, and the wardens were very accommodating and helpful. Not sure why there is an 11am check out on this site, the access roads only a short one and the main roads not an issue. Caused us a major headache with our next site and it’s 1pm arrival time…… see our Ramslade review !! Overall we wouldn’t pick this site to stay at again with Its limitations which is a shame as it is really handy for exploring the surrounding coastline. Maybe the club can buy the empty field which is on the way in on the access road, and turn it into something special…..

Perfect seasonal pitch

Bridport Bingham Grange Club Campsite
We had a seasonal pitch at Bingham Grange we would like to highly recommend all the staff they were very professional but extremely inclusive thank you so much for adding to our on site experience .The site was kept very tidy and clean although I note some comments refer to the site and facilities as being in need of upgrade we can only speak as we find and they were more than adequate always clean with hot water available at all times we understand the site is due for refurbishment ,we hope it is done sympathetically and does not spoil the ambiance of the site many thanks again to the staff
