Playday is a series of nationwide community events that usually take place on the first Wednesday in August. It’s a national day celebrating the importance of children’s right to play, and the positive effects it has on their lives.
34 of our sites got involved in the fun this year. The events were a great success and entertained over 500 children!
Activities ranged from arts and crafts, making bird feeders, welly throwing and treasure hunts. There were also sporty activities like egg and spoon racing and badminton as well as bird of prey shows and quizzes.
Burford Club Site ran a ‘decorate your ‘van competition’ with spectacular results! Children at Cirencester Park Club Site made their own paper airplanes and face masks as well as took part in a family obstacle race and football games.
The kids at our Clumber Park Club Site got to humiliate the grown-ups with a face painting competition!
Things got really wild at our Longleat Club Site with animal mask making (pictured) and a dog show.
Dornafield Club Site had a visit from our Tourer Explorers, Andy Venture and Holly Day.
