This was my first visit to the Ramslade Site, but unfortunately it'll probably be my last. This is by no means any reflection on the staff or facilities which from the friendly welcoming staff to the beautiful site layout goes without saying is one of the best. It's purely the access road. The site directory does state that it's located down a country lane, but fails to mention that it's extremely narrow in places. My arrival time was later than planned but I encountered what must have been a nightmare for the caravanner that was in front of me. We were approaching what turned out be a sharp left hand bend in one of the narrower parts of the road for him only to be faced with another caravanner coming in the opposite direction. I won't go into detail but leave it to your imagination as to the mutual frustration that these two drivers faced. Not the sort of end to a really arduous journey that I had had to get to the site. Speaking to a fellow motorhomer, who was a regular visitor to the site, he said that it was a regular occurrence especially with Friday arrivals and Monday leavers. We've all been faced with similar situations but it does, for me, dampen the whole experience.
