The Collection

This section allows you to browse through some of the items within the collection and to find out more about what they are and where they originated. There are a number of galleries dedicated to various parts of the collection and we will add new sections as the collection grows.

  • The Wanderer

    The Wanderer is perhaps the most famous caravan in The Club's history. It was built in the mid-1880s for The Club's first Vice President, Dr William Gordon Stables. It was displayed at The Palace during the Royal Garden Party.

  • Sites and touring

    This gallery contains images of memoribilia related to Club Sites and touring with The Club. It offers great insight into how The Club assisted members with their touring and how caravanners spent their time.

  • Caravan Club Centres

    In 1935 The Caravan Club encouraged groups of 12 or more members in a local area to join together and form a Centre. Since then The Club has formed over 70 regional Centres. This gallery contains pictures of some of the memorabilia collected from these Centres over the years.
