Camping cheques are ideal for members who want the freedom to travel without pre-booking their overseas sites but who want to pay for some, or all, of their sites in advance - avoiding worry about exchange rates or taking extra currency.
It is also particularly worthwhile for members who want this degree of flexibility but also intend to use a ferry route where ITX fares are particularly advantageous.
Whilst this is primarily a low season scheme, the dates on which these Cheques are accepted vary widely between sites and for this reason there are now no restrictions on the dates they can be purchased. Each Cheque costs the same as in 2007 - £10.30 per Cheque.
Camping Cheques site directory
The scheme includes almost 600 sites throughout Europe - details of which can be found in the directory accompanying all Camping Cheque bookings. This directory can be purchased by calling 01342 327 410 at a cost of £3.
Please note that no refund may be made for this purchase, irrespective of whether a booking is then made.
Use of Camping Cheques
Each Camping Cheque is valid for one night’s stay for up to two people plus car / caravan, trailer tent or motor caravan, and includes up to 6 amps electricity.
The cost of any local tourist tax or other services (e.g. water, drainage connections, electricity upgrade etc.) is excluded and must be paid direct to the site management.
Please note: Camping Cheques may not be used for payment for any pitches reserved in advance through The Club’s Travel Service. Some sites shown in the Camping Cheque directory will allow payment to be made by Camping Cheques if an advance booking has been made direct with the site, but this must be clarified at the time of booking.
Get Camping Cheques from The Club
The Club can only supply Camping Cheques as part of a package, which must include your ferry crossing and at least 7 Camping Cheques. The lowest possible ferry fare available at the time of booking will always be used.
You may order any number of Camping Cheques (minimum 7) at an additional cost of £10.30 per Cheque.
Please note: No refunds are allowed for any unused Camping Cheques. Also, The Club is not presently party to the “Camping Cheque Gold Card” arrangements.
