Assistant wardens

Becoming an Assistant Warden for The Caravan Club can be a very rewarding and enjoyable lifestyle. We employ all manner of different people from a variety of backgrounds and walks of life. You too can be a part of this exceptional team.

We ideally look for couples with a variety of skills, although single applications are considered:

  • You must have been a member of The Caravan Club for at least one year - In order that all staff employed on our sites understand the ethos and culture of our Club. You should also have stayed on several different Club sites (not including Certificated Locations, CL's) within the last couple of years so that you are aware of the variety of sites available to our members.
  • You must be able to drive and hold a current licence - Couples manage sites for periods of time on their own and therefore it is essential that if one person is incapacitated for any reason, the other is still able to get off site if they need to.
  • Customer Service skills/experience are imperative - The most important part of the job is to provide an excellent service to our members.
  • Computer literacy - All staff are expected to work in the site office and therefore previous experience of using a computer will be extremely useful, however full training will be provided on our in-house booking system.
  • Interpersonal skills - Working as part of a team you will need to be prepared to deal with all manner of situations, these will include, on occasions, dealing with difficult people or situations which occur on site.
  • Sense of humour - Always helpful!

  • Single Applications: We do accept single applications but please be aware there are limited single vacancies across the Network.  Unfortunately dependants are not allowed to live on site (This includes spouses/partners/children/parents).

There is a four day induction at the start of the season to provide new Assistant Wardens with the foundation information they require. Their continued training is an accredited, bespoke competency based training course, coached on-site by their Warden. The programme contains both theoretical and practical elements.

By opening the attachments on the right hand side of this page, you will find our 'Introduction to The Caravan Club Structure and Assistant Wardens Appointments' leaflet, a Job Description and an Application Form. There is also a questionnaire to complete.

Once you have read this literature, if you are interested in the role, please return your completed application form either by e-mail to:

You will hear from us shortly as to whether you have been successful at this stage in the proceedings. Due to the large number of applications received, there may be a delay in inviting you to attend an assessment centre which could also delay starting a contract.
