The 7-acre caravan site boasts an exquisite ornamental lake and offers 79 generously sized pitches. Take the opportunity to visit Tredegar House as it has often been described as one of the architectural wonders of Wales, and recognised as one of the most significant 17th century houses in the whole of the British Isles. The house is open between Easter and September.

A favourite of visitors is a visit the small village of Ystradfellte, and taking the 5 mile walk to the four waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons - well worth the effort to witness the stunning waterfalls. Within convenient distance of Tredegar House Country Park Caravan Club Site is the beautiful city of Cardiff, with its medieval castle, National Museum, Bay Development and vast shopping centre. Close to the caravan park, you can visit the restored Transporter Bridge, Pwll Mawr (Big Pit mining museum) and the lovely Wye Valley. What a great site.

5 out of 5

We stayed here for 14 nights (14-28 Aug. '16), We will be back again, a gem of a site. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and they keep the toilet block and grounds to a very high standard. Yes there is some road noise, but not so much as to be intrusive. A lot of wild life in and around the site, and a large play area in the park next door. Pity the 5mph speed limit is not kept to by some, as there were a lot of young kids riding their bikes. Can't wait to return, one of the best CC sites we've been to in 20+ years membership.

Fantastic Site

We have returned from a 10 night stay here and loved it. We could hear some road noise but it was not intrusive. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities were very clean all the time. I would highly recommend this site to anyone

Lovely Site

Stopped off at Tredegar House for 3 days on way to West Country as wanted to go to Cardiff Bay that we had heard was worth a visit now that it's been redeveloped. Good location and easy to find although the final yards up to the entrance are narrow and suggest that the CC makes it arrivals after 1.00pm to avoid the queue up the barrier. We arrived 20 mins early as the roads were quiet and there were several outfits in front of us stopped before the barrier that we didn't see until we were in the narrow entrance road and this made it difficult for people leaving the site close to the 12.00 deadline and blocked the entrance to the visitors carpark. Some noise can be heard from the M4 motorway but this is to be expected due to the site location. The site is kept in great condition by the wardens and the toilets blocks were always up to the usual CC standards. The grounds at Tredegar House are superb for walking around, especially if you have a dog and the cafe is well worth stopping at during your walk. The Bristol Channel is only approx. 3 miles away and you can park in the Lighthouse Inn car park, (for a small charge), to walk down the footpath above the beach. If you decide to visit Cardiff Bay and follow the signs from the M4 motorway it's a big diversion as the approach is from the west. Although the road is almost all dual carriageway off the motorway, it's probably better to put up with some traffic and queues and take the direct route in from the east. This was our first visit to Tredegar House and we will certainly visit again, probably on the way to South Wales.
