The 7-acre caravan site boasts an exquisite ornamental lake and offers 79 generously sized pitches. Take the opportunity to visit Tredegar House as it has often been described as one of the architectural wonders of Wales, and recognised as one of the most significant 17th century houses in the whole of the British Isles. The house is open between Easter and September.

A favourite of visitors is a visit the small village of Ystradfellte, and taking the 5 mile walk to the four waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons - well worth the effort to witness the stunning waterfalls. Within convenient distance of Tredegar House Country Park Caravan Club Site is the beautiful city of Cardiff, with its medieval castle, National Museum, Bay Development and vast shopping centre. Close to the caravan park, you can visit the restored Transporter Bridge, Pwll Mawr (Big Pit mining museum) and the lovely Wye Valley. Needs updating

3 out of 5

This is a lovely site, with access to walking in Tredegar Park. The wardens are friuendly and helpful, and do there best to keep everything clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the facilities leave a lot to be desired, they seriously need updating. Whilst we were there one toilet was not in use in the ladies for the whole visit, the hairdryer was broken, one of the showers had a split in the floor, which is far from hygienic, and there is only one wash hand basin by the toilets. Considering the price paid foir this site, I was not happy. It is a very noisy site, with motorway and A road passing the site, it doesn't bother some people, but I couldn't sleep well, even with earplugs in. I'm sorry to be so negative, I usually love caravan club sites, but there is also a problem with speeding on site too, it needs to be addressed before there is an accident.

Good location

Lovely National trust house gardens and park all a stones throw away.  Handy for visiting Newport Cardiff and other places in in S Wales had a lovely time warden's were lovely thank you

A surprising amount to see and do

5 out of 5

The only downside to this site for me was the late evening/night noise from the local roads (mostly fast motorbikes) and the M4. This, in part, must be to do with our pitch location which was close to the boundary wall alongside a main feeder road and I guess our VW camper van is not as well insulated as a caravan or large motor home. However, my wife slept well and we booked an extra two night while there because the site facilities, location and wardens were so good, plus there was plenty to see and do locally and further afield. The no.30 bus to Cardiff was handy as were the busses into Newport, but remember, only Welsh bus passes are valid for free travel for the over 60s. We'd visit again and would recommend it to our friends but maybe try for a quieter pitch next time.
