Pitches (what are these?)

  • Total pitches 112
  • Hardstanding 80

With one part of the White House Beach Caravan Club Site adjacent to the beach and the other enclosed by attractive willow trees and shrubs, there's a pitch to suit all tastes at this location. In early summer the foreshore is a riot of colour with wild flowers, including the rare Yellow Poppy. Although Kessingland beach is shingle, Lowestoft is within easy reach from the caravan site and has a beautiful sandy beach complete with the lifeguard safety. The Sailors Home pub in Kessingland comes recommended and is dog friendly.

Recently voted best large attraction in the area, Africa Alive is just a short distance from White House Beach Caravan Club Site and offers a great safari park attraction for the family. Nearby Charmind Southwold has recently become a landmark for being the setting for the movie adaptation, "Iris", starring Kate Winslet and Dame Judy Dench. The caravan park is also just a few miles away from the Pleasure Wood Hills Theme Park, which guarantees a fun day out for children. Other not-to-be-missed excursions include taking a day boat on The Broads and going fishing or bird watching at Minismere. More nearby places to visit include the picturesque Framlingham Castle and the National Trust owned site of Horsey Windpump.

excellent assistance:

5 out of 5

I would like to record our thanks for the excellent assistance we received from Gary (warden) in helping us find an appropriate site for our 4.75m. wide awning. His help was professional, expert and delivered in a friendly manner suggesting he really felt this to be part of his role. The site was ,as usual, in very good shape and the other members of the staff friendly and welcoming despite the site being 98% full. Thank you for a relaxing break.

Ideal beachside location

4 out of 5

Narrow road and tight bends on the approach to the site entrance, but a nice welcome from the wardens. Our stay was over a weekend so the site was quite full and the prime beachside pitches had all been taken, but we found a nice hardstanding which was clear but there are also grass pitches For awnings if required. The closeness of the beach for walking was great and a visit to the transport museum was a must. Bit busy in the toilet block due to the closure on the smaller block. Would use the site again.

Lovely site

5 out of 5

This was our second visit here, last came 2 years ago. Great for walking, for the dogs, peace and quiet. Can't complain really, wardens very friendly and helpful, were very quick with 'pulling up' rebellious caravanners who don't seem to want to park on the pitch as they should. Only issue like everyone else is that it's a large site for one toilet block, and cleaning time is early but as I am early riser that's not such an issue for me but hubby is later riser so had to rush. Overall lovely site and would go again
